Having never built a cage myself, I'm not the best resource in this area, but I'd think that having your B-pillar tied into the frame, because it's closest to the driver and passenger, would be ideal.

Exactly, no reason you can't tie in both either

Ended up tieing in at the C pillar. There is no way with the MT rear kit to go in front of the rear tire. I'll plan to get a piece of tube bent later to connect to the B pillar.

Also welded 3/4 of the cage. It will need to be taken out to finish.

How do you get all the tube protective coating off and ready for primer / paint?

More iPhone pics...

AFAIK, you don't need to remove the mil-spec to paint. Scuff it up if you wish, but just paint right over it. If anything, the remaining mil-spec will help prevent corrosion.

Mocking up the ladder bar. Not much done but at least it's a start! Damn regular paying work keeps getting in the way of my fun time in the garage.

This is an old Proffitts kit (yes I purchased a lot of these parts a while ago) but I'm adding a heim joint at the shackle end of the bar.

Not sure if I'm going to use the IPOR skid as a mounting point for the shackle or adding a purposes crossmember.

Thoughts?

Mind posting a pic of the skid?

If the skid can hold up the truck it should be able to hold the shackle end of an anti-wrap bar. If there isn't enough material in the area that you want to mount the shackle to you can just beef it up a little bit and then mount it.

I don't have a pic handy but it's very beefy.

I'll likely add material to it for mounting the shackle and call it done. This is really the easiest route.

That's how I did mine last iteration and how M&M did it on my current skid.

Dang, that's pretty slick. The IPOR skid might not be that overbuilt but should still suffice.

Those guys at M&M do nice work!

Mocking up MT sliders...this look good from a placement standpoint?

If you're going with sliders, what's with the angle that's against the bottom of the tub? I'd get rid of the angle and get those sliders a little higher and tighter.

Angle is there cause the bottom rockers were fxxxed and filled with bondo by a PO. Easier and quicker to cover with angle than cutout and redo the rockers. They've already been cut a few inches higher then normal.

Sliders are 3/8" from bottom of the angle...you think closer to 1/8" or 1/4"?

Also I flipped the sides so the larger swoop of the tube is front vs rear...no pic but looks better following the line of the front fender.

Nah, you'll need the room for flex in the slider.

If the angle stays then it looks awesome! I'd put it right there :D

Bar is almost done, just need to add small pieces of tube for cross braces. Used a heim at the shackle end of the bar to allow for a bit more movement vs a poly bushing.

It's more close to level than a couple of the pics make it seem...tough to get a decent pic. I'm fairly pleased with it!

It's fine like it is, but if you have any threads to spare on that rod end, I'd make it longer. Perpendicular shackle at ride height is ideal. Glad your Sunday afternoon was more fun than mine!
