I really like the idea now of using an LC tcase behind my 700R4, but the AA kit requires a new output shaft in the tranny. :(

Not sure how expensive it would be to get the shaft installed. On TOP of the AA adapter price.

In my AA kit, all I had to do is cut down the 2 wheel drive 700r4 output shaft a little. They advertise that you can change the output shaft too, but the cut was very easy with a 4.5" grinder. HTH.

$100 or less, i had my local shop just tear into my 700 just to check the work and it was an hours time @ $107/hour. threw the shaft in at the same time!!

Funny you posted.....just got back on here last night after a 6 month hiatus and got remotivated after reading some other buildups. This is the reason for my lack of updates: I completely tore off my patellar tendon from the bone and also seperated everything around it, so quite a few stitches, wire, and staples later I'll be as good as new. I'm just now 3 months out of surgery and will be updating shortly as I get back on track with the build

....Just been doing rust repair stuff which is pretty boring. I had a little bubbling over the center support and when I started cutting pieces out, the brace was also rusted which blossomed into this.......I love being able to see the ground thru the floor, makes me feel like Barney Rubble

So I ordered up a new crossbrace piece and will be lifting the body shortly to replace it. Damned if I didn't tell myself when I began that I wouldn't do a frame off and look at me now. :censor:
I also just got a new body mount kit from energy suspension that I'll be throwing on since I have to lift it anyway. Should make the ride and creaks a little more bearable.

.....and the rough finish....it's amazing how much time little junk like this takes

GAWT DANM you can say that again brother!
Nice sheet work you did on that! Im hoping that mine wont be so invasive, but I fear the worst at this point in time...well see shortly though.
What is going on with that tank?

Congrats. Enjoyed reading up on your project. You have come a long way!
