Seat time! Some Lexus F Sport seats with the same options as the LC will be morphed in. These have adequate bolstering, which is a few notches above the stock 200 units. The side bolsters are about 1 - 1.5" deeper, and there are actual thigh bolsters. Here is the driver's seat, almost new. If there's enough interest, might start a separate thread just for alternative seats and how to swap them.

do those seats have the cooling feature? could it be retro-fitted to work with an 08-09 that din't have this as an option?
definitely interested in this.

Some have the cooling feature, these do not. They are, however, perforated... which will help them breath a bit. Adding the cooled seats will require work outside of the seat unit itself, switches, possibly wire harness, seat ECU?

I don't have cooled seats in my 08...but I've been amazed at how much cooler my UV/Tinted windows keep the interior--and especially the interior SURFACES. Even in the hottest summer sun, the seats never feel hot. Also pretty sure it's helping to protect the leather--especially given that I park in the driveway.

Cooled seats may fly under the radar but I use all the time and not sure how I could do w/out now! Would love to swap out the front seats (ok driver?) and retain cooling/heating feature.

Brian,
I'll bet there is more than enough interest to warrant a separate thread!
Please keep us posted on what models will work, and what it takes to make the swap.

you're the pioneer on this vehicle platform, and I for one and very pleased with the results of riding your coat tails.

Interested in the seat replacement! Id love to replace my 2016 heated/cooled seat with a sport seat like this with heating/cooling.

I was looking for seats for my 80 series. Seems like these cloud be good option.

Being from another late model Toyota product, the SRS side airbags in these seats will likely plug into the existing harness. While an assumption at this point, they will likely integrate and operate just like the airbags in the original seats.... I need to renew my TIS subscription and start looking at the wiring diamgrams and diagnostic signals for both vehicles.

I ran the Pro shocks for a bit, they worked great, especially when pushed. Do they have something available for the 120/150 chassis?
Dont know if they make them. I called the dealer and I can get the front $940 a piece. I would like to try the shocks if they would fit. If I could get the shock dimensions I could compare with the BP 51.

These seats are quite nice - we have them in our IS350 F-Sport. Before you invest in a set, however, you may want to go to a car lot and sit in one. They are firm and are not made for folks who shop in the XL section of the clothing stores!

BTW - our IS has the heated and fan cooled seats - and I wish our LC had the cooling feature!

@bjowett any progress on the seat swap?
It's pushing 108 here in AZ, I'm itching to pull the trigger on swapping in a different seat.
@NLScooby , what year is your IS? been trying to find what styles are available and will fit/feel the best.

thanks

Ours is a 2015. Firm seats...a little narrow..and for me the lumbar support hits too low. Otherwise they are very nice seats.

No progress as we can't afford to be w/o the vehicle. I'm working on buying a 73 Series to remedy the situation.... if one pans out, the 200 will see much in the way of upgrading.

Brian, on the Toyota Techinfo site, if you buy the two day access option, can you download drawings/ part numbers etc....can you look up info for multiple vehicles, or is it just one vehicle, based on VIN?

I'd like to get front seat wiring/control diagrams for 08 cruiser, 13 cruiser, 06-10 lexus IS/GS seat, and 13 GS Fsport seats.

The 06-12 IS/GS seats look like they have a little better bolster support than cruiser seats and have ventilation.
The 13+ IS/GS Fsport seats have adjustable bolsters, extendable thigh support and cooling, but I would worry the controls are significantly more complicated than the cruiser (also 3 times the cost to purchase)

just trying to figure out what will work. There is a guy on clublexus that swapped in an ISF seat into his GS. Said wiring diagrams took up 10 pages and he only got it to work because he is an electrical engineer and familiar with can bus communications.

If we can find the best mix of harnesses and control modules, I'm sure one of the computer gurus on this forum could figure out the can bus stuff.

You should have access to all vehicles... There are no part numbers, though... that is a different system, only service oriented items. I have a hypothesis that many can bus Toyota parts can talk to other can bus Toyota parts - even from different vehicles. The easiest swap will be a seat with the same options.

Any thoughts on swapping out 2nd row with captains seats from a Highlander? Think this is even possible?
