Yup... date and mileage. It's about all I do for tracking maintenance on the 40. Fortunately my Tacoma and my wife's Sienna I change on 10k mile intervals. Both have cartridge style filters so otherwise I'd be screwed.

On my 80 I'm using the Toyota Owners website to track maintenance since the previous owners had done regular maintenance at dealerships, it's all there in one place.

How'd you get your ROPS straight up? I thought they were tilted forward? I drove up to Frederick on Tuesday to check out tractors. Looked at the JD and Kioti dealers. I wish JD had a tractor between the 1025R and 2032/38R as far as loader lift and size goes. Looks like the 2025 is just a 1025 with bigger tires. On the Kioti side I'm looking at the CX2510.

Its always been strait. All of the ones I have looked at were strait too. I had to go back and look at pictures lol.
I know that if i wanted to lift more I would need a much bigger tractor. I have picked up some heavy things and it feels like its going to tip over in the front. It has lifted everything I have tried so far and what it coudn't lift it picked the back tires up trying. Its a amazing little tractor. I tried out the three big brands and JD was the over all best fit.

Matts is an older 1025. They changed the ROPs in the last 2-3 years. I think because the backhoe was changed. Mats seat turns around for the backhoe. Mine has its own seat that flips down and sets higher.

SUCCESS. Part of for the lift gate revamp project complete. New LED rd is all wired up (because DC/MD/VA drivers). The rear wiper, rear washer, power lock and defroster are all functioning properly. Tucked everything away neatly and put the headliner and all the trim back together.

thanks to @emorth for the splicing tips several pages back. I pulled the pins and was able to heat shrink it with marine grade stuff.

I reached the end of the internet researching tractors so if you ever need advice let me know. Tractors are like tool boxes and pole barns, bigger is always better. Weight = traction = how much work you can do. If i recall correctly, you have one acre? or was it five? Sub-compact is probably fine. Make sure you get a third function on the loader in case you want to get a grapple, amazing tool.

Probably overkill, but if you want to go bigger, one of the best deals going is the Kubota L2501. Gives you plenty of weight, it's below the 25hp emissions threshold, and is affordable. Might take up too much space in your garage tho. Give Yanmar a look too. They build some of the best diesel engines out there, and like Kubota, they build the entire machine including the engine in Japan. A lot of older JD's were rebadged Yanmar's, and JD still uses Yanmar diesels in all their compact tractors.
