RR - How is this project coming along? I'd like to buy another newer 100 sometime and I will definitely want to ditch the factory nav... Not an issue in my current 99... I've been anxiously awaiting you guys to figure this one out...

To keep the climate control working you just need to have the AC condenser unit center plug plugged in. I am going to relocate that unit underneath the center armrest after I take out the Lexus link. Then I shall have a single din space for decent deck.

Please explain in greater detail. I would gladly stick something under a seat and use "auto" controls if I could if that meant a double din headunit!

Are you talking about 03+?

I will take some pics tonight

Rob, I would love to! And would be nice to check out you other gadgets as well! I am in MTV.

I call the one on he right if it's up for sale!

Oh yes it is the cassette deck, which also happens to be the condenser controller. Strangely without it the ac won't work... Otherwise it would be a super simple thing of taking it out and putting a single din head unit in its place. So to make the ac work you have to relocate the condenser control unit (the cassette deck) somewhere else and extend the middle connector as illustrated in your picture. Also if you are going to use the stock ML amp you need to connect the amp cable next to it.

Installed the kenwood in the condenser controller space for the first time. Getting some where but still dealing with some odds ends.

1/ the antenna goes up when radio is selected but no signal is received on the head unit
2/ seems like the head unit is not retaining time and song settings after the vehicle is off
3/ no sound via ML amp but works perfectly when I connect to pioneer speakers directly

Please share help! Much appreciated...

Front and rear ac working perfectly.

Wow. Nice concept. Just found this thread. I'm in Cupertino with a 2006 LX. 2nd owner. I bought the extended warranty just because of the combined nav/climate/everything. Well, that and the suspension.

Haven't seen an update since April 2012. Anyone else want this project completed please be sure donate at cruiserops.com

Hope there is progress. :/
