A few weeks ago my PS pump rear seal failed while I was on the trails. It lost all the fluid and topping it off wasn't an option, so I had to drive it 60 miles back home dry. Not being a daily driver, it's been sitting since. My question is should I bother trying to reseal it, or just replace it?

If you lost all the fluid over a short time, it's probably not going to be a replaceable seal that went bad, more like something blew open and barfed all the fluid. Unless one of the hoses completely failed or came loose. See if you can find where the fluid is coming out of. Take a look at the other thread happening right now: Power steering

I saw that thread, thanks. Mine for sure is not a hose, the fluid was gushing out of the backside of the pump. I've decided not to risk it and order a new pump.

Sounds like the same as the guy in the other thread and what happened to me a year ago. A new Toyota pump should do great.
