Power mode (1 Viewer)

I was wondering if anyone drive with the power mode on. I drive in over drive mostly.

Mine is on or off depending on whenever it was accidentally pushed last. I have trouble feeling any difference it makes.

Ya that's kida what I thought I was going to hear. I just put a 2.5" lift with 285/75R's on so I'm liking the extra power. It most likly lowers the gas millage though correct?

No real effect on gas mileage. Has to do with shift points. It holds each gear a little longer, so it feels like more HP.

With it shut off, it shifts earlier and a bit softer. I have not noticed any change in mileage, but I always drive with my foot in in it.

Because of this thread, I tried the PWR function on my 40 mile commute home today - love it. Much better for my usage. Thanks!

I leave it on pretty much all the time, higher shift points and you get an extra 10 mph on the top end

An extra 10? How fast are you going?

Will this keep people from honking behind me? My 60 needs the power button. Makes the new to me 80 feel like a rock ship. Will try the power mode for the next week. Thought it would kill gas milage but good to hear that is not the case.

I do 0-60 eventually, its a bit quicker if im going down hill or theres a tail wind

More like a 'goal' than a limit.

I don't have any problems now getting up to 75 with the 5.29s - just the pucker factor kicking in when I look at the tach...
Edit: I should add - true 75 mph. My yellow box is synched with the GPS...lol

Turbo button... I can definatly tell when its off. Feels much better on.
