@04gto I'm just glad your D light is out, or you'd have some 'splainin to do. Never, ever replace the D light bulb. Glad to see you're being safe by locking in Cruiser control for the pic.;) Speaking for myself, just rolled 353k, and unfortunately encountered a failing trans past few weeks. Always took great care with it, but it's time for a transplant. Will be back on the road towards 500k shortly!

What are symptoms of failing trans?

I guess I should put this here now:

Running great, other than the radiator is leaking towards the top and needs replacing but keeping a gallon of coolant in the back has worked for the past 5,000 miles. On the next oil change I am going to have a Blackstone Labs oil analysis done just out of curiosity, but I have a feeling once I change this radiator and do TB job no reason it wont hit 600,000.
Do you still have this, and if so, how's it running? (Sorry if I missed an updated post)

Lost my trans at 150k. For me, suddenly started slipping / not shifting. Revs would shoot higher than expected and not put power to wheels. At some point I was maxing at 10 mph. Then I had to replace it again cuz the first shop sucked.

Sure do, I'm at ~520,000 miles. Runs great, since that post I put in a new radiator, changed the timing belt, pulleys, and some other maintenance items. I take it on trails regularly and don't baby it. I've done oil reports on it and the wear looks great and no signs of imminent failure. You can check out my build thread in my signature if you want.

520,000. Miles?
Sorry edited to make clear, yes, miles. Its probably technically more since I've had oversized tries for the 40K but odometer says 519,XXX and some change coming up on 520,000 miles. Original engine, trans, etc. no major work.
