@OilHammer where did you source the DDX917WS from? That thing is a really awesome.

I haven't yet. Work has kicked my tail for over a year and kept me from this, but that project is wrapping in about 2 months. On top of that, I goofed when I ordered the conversion parts, so now I'm stuck playing the waiting game and hoping what I need is still available. Once I'm positive it all works, I'll decide on getting the WS or just a cheapie. On that note: The DDx917WS has now been replaced by the DDX918WS. You can buy them from Australia or from Malaysia (fasmoto), but the DVD region code will be different than the US made discs. KENWOOD DDX918WS 6.8" HD Display Apple CarPlay Android Auto Audiophile Grade Hi-Res Audio Spotify Bluetooth I pretty much never watch DVDs, so I'm less likely to care about that as opposed to the carplay, cameras, widescreen, and bluetooth. They ran a sale around March last year, so I'm hoping the same will happen again with this newer model though that may have been a sale because the 917 was going away.

I'm struggling on this part... Part Number: 84014-60350 for 01/2006 and later production. edit april19

It's out of stock or unavailable at Partsouq, MegaZip, and Ebay. A number of Toyota dealers have it, but the cheapest I've found it is $555. I noticed digging through the thread the pre-2006 version, the -60190 part, was about $200 less expensive. Has anyone found a source for 84014-60350 for materially less? Or is the 2006+ version one this board just inherently more expensive?

Supply/Demand. fewer of them are supplied because they are only used for the 01/06 to 07 model years. Also, they do have some major differences in doing the airbag lights.

However, there is a workaround that will allow purchasing the cheaper one, you can re-use your old mirror heater/rear defroster/rear AC control panel. I would recommend, however, either using a short harness or cutting a few wires to ensure there are no issues. If you want to go this route let me know and I can post all the details

Also here are part numbers and prices.

how do you work around the airbag control checks? or do you mean, have no yellow light, but have a stuck srs code?

No codes, the c28 connector goes to the old lower integration panel, from there to both side vents, and all three ac plugs go right into the amp, no harness needed. The integration circuit board is slid in between the brackets under my head unit and above the ac amp.

Make sure you call the dealership to verify they have the part or can even get it. It may show online availability and you go through the process of ordering the part only to have your order cancelled.
Trust me if it's not available at Partsoug, MegaZip and Ebay the idea that a number of US dealers are carrying that part in stock is just not realistic.

I noticed Premier Parts in your spreadsheet. It appears they are dealer only. Is there a way to purchase through them to capture those prices? I'm currently seeing about the same prices your spreadsheet but without the roughly 10% or so lower price though Premier.

yeah, I'm not sure that they would sell to individuals, but they responded to my emails for quotes. I would contact them and see if they'll be open to shipping to the US for a small order.

Just updating, all parts have been sold. Good luck with your conversions!

Hi Everyone.

I've recently sold my 2003 LC100. Prior to selling it i had acquired (as far as i know) all of the parts necessary to complete this conversion.

I will no longer be needing any of it so i thought i'd put a list of what i have here before i put one in the classifieds (if that's against the rules, please delete this post).

I've attached an Excel Screenshot of what i have with prices. This ended up being a bit more expensive than i expected when i started my search. (sorry if prices seem high... I've just tacked on about 10% to bring the total up to what i paid including taxes/duties/shipping).

We can work something out if you'd like to take all of it.

PM me if interested.

Thanks!

Does anyone have 60810 or the 60821 AC amplifier assembly you'd like to sell? Please PM. I intend to convert my 2005 LC with production date of October, 2004.

the late 2006 and all of 2007 heater integration panel for LX is no longer produced (I question if it ever was for north amercia). Nick got creative with an LC without the panel. I did an 07 LX with a mix of toyota and lexus part numbers. IT was the nicest 100 I've ever been in. One of a kind. Made my LC look like a complete beater. I think that's his in that pic. HAs to be I think.

Wait, Nicest LC you've EVER been in? Let me get this off my chest....I'm jealous at that statement. Jerry stop meeting new people.:) From that picture it looks like an LX....now if that's the nicest LX you've ever seen...Clearly I have a problem. like my wife says...stay off of that forum.
