I have a 2003 LC with a production date of 10/02. After reading through the thread I'm a little confused as to which ac amp is correct/available. If anyone can shed some light on this it would be appreciated.

I went with an alpine ilx207. It's more expensive than some pioneer and Kenwood, but I like alpine more, plus its made in Japan, fitting for a Toyota.
I say figure out what you want in your radio,
android auto or car play?
do you need a 9 band parametric EQ? or will a 7 band work alright?
4volt pre-outs?
want multimedia support?
built in gps or not?

I looked up the unit, and gets good review. How is the screen resolution? I want a unit with a fast and responsive GPS independent of a phone and both carplay and android wireless integration. I like Garmin GPS software some units offer, but then read Kenwoods are not snappy. (Slow electronics would bug me) I don't care about CD/DVD, and I am not looking for an "audiophile" grade unit (4volt pre-outs). I still have plenty of time - it took about 4 months to budget for the NAV delete parts, and I figure I should have everything I need by May time frame.

I got this right HERE.

I will be installing in the next month. I'll report back on what I think about it. It checks the boxes that I wanted. As far as recommendations, I will say to be wary of JVC. The last couple of units I had were JVC and they had decent sound quality but were super glitchy, especially with bluetooth, which is a deal breaker for me. Alpine and Sony units have done well for me in the past.

I still have a pioneer 8200 (second one) It's been going strong for 15 months so far. Having the extra space that some of those alpines have would be a nice thing. Installation in a LC or LX almost becomes a space for install issue as a brand preference or brand spec issue.
More than a few have told me they didn't think they could get all that in there. deck and steering wheel thing, antenna wires etc. I still wish I would have went with kenwood.

I agree with Jerry, it is very tight behind the dash. My steering remote adapter and all the radio wires I pushed off to the side towards the glove box. Saved a bit of space but the landcruiser is a tough install.

Guys,

am I missing anything for my 2005 LC (10/04 production)

Thank you!

looks correct, the 9098012094 is part of the harness, you don't need an extra. Your list might be missing a bracket, I see one but not the other.
the toyota double din face plate is bigger, wider than standard double din. The other option is USA standard size, the DFP-11-15 on ebay.

I know two people have got sets of those in the last three weeks. From dealer. I don't know which one.

Oh, duh! I mixed up the 60030 and 60020. I couldn't find the '30's when I got all my parts so I ended up getting the '20's instead.

On another front, the clock/temp/MPG display face doesn't sit flush against the opening of the DFP-11-15. There is about a 2-3mm gap between the display face and DFP-11-15 trim piece. Has anyone else had this issue? I'm not sure if I want to trim it down or not.

Hi guys, thank you for the input! I already have the brackets (purchased them back in November of 2018 from amayama both left and right sides right before the harness). I hope the Toyota double din face plate is not going to be a handicap - will I be able to use an adapter of sorts to install a standard stereo or should I just buy the ebay DFP-11-15?

I have a pretty small gap as well, but I have an oversized din chinese fascia. I don’t notice it all though.
