THIS IS AWESOME!! I am living vicariously through you (and Dave, since I want to be Dave when I grow up).

I made the mistake of asking for a quote on A1 transport, and after 30 calls and about the same number of emails, I am surprised how cheap it is. Ive gotten several quotes in the $150-$250 range. I unfortunately don't have the necessary time in the next few months, so its first stop is to Stan to take a look at the situation.

I too look to be Dave when I grow up.

I don't want to grow up, I just want to be Dave

I am going to pick it up next Thursday. Anybody have any recommendations for truck transport? If I can find a car trailer, I might just tow it with the 100. If not, I am looking for a company any of you have had success with?

Congrats on the new pig! You can't go wrong with Aaron for transport.

It’s in Clayton, NC. It’s either coming to Wingate first then going to Chesnee, or going directly to Chesnee

Ha! Now I recognize that Pig! I used to drive past it to check on it, as a coworker told me about it. Only about a 5 minute drive from my work, and only about 10 minutes from where I picked up my 55! They're practically cousins!

dang...hate I missed that one.

hope you get it back on the road.

The guys said the only know issue is the clutch, plan is to fix the clutch, full tune up, and rebuild the brakes. Probably going to do minimal body work, stop/slow rust, and do some rattle can work.

Clayton to Chesnee is all downhill. Just send it straight to Stan.

Along with a blank check, couple of new low interest credit cards, and throw in your first born. he's young enough to get an awesome round of on the job training. it would be worth it!!!

Stan doesn't take credit cards. Better have another kid, just in case.

The only reason I have money to do this is because I only have the one

It was not advertised, a buddy of mine knew the guy selling and went to look at it. He passed, and told the guy I might be interested. I think the guy bought it to fix up and it just never happened. I believe it’s a 2f and four speed swap.

It’s a bit of a risk, cause there is very little I know about it. Not sure about the roof but it seems most body panels have some rust.

I like the term adventure over risk lol this thing looks awesome ever need an extra hand with a wire wheel on this thing let me know!

That is a better word, and I might take you up on the wire wheel help. Hopefully it gets a good prognosis from Stan.

I think Stan and I will concur that, to keep you and your family safe, a long term testing of said vehicle is needed. See you in 6 months!
