Jason, That sounds like some pretty serious news. Get on some good meds, find a TV series or something to watch and stay out of the shop! I'll keep you in my thoughts brother.

Let me know when you have time to talk - Dx'd a tear, what imaging was used? Let's chat. . .
Heal up my friend and take it easy!
This was the only way that worked for me . After wrist surgery last summer, the dog and I spent a lot of time walking the mountains far away from the garage. I didn't even walk through it to get in the truck to go out.I'm trying to keep myself away from things so I can heal up.

Good luck with all!
Aw, s***... I know what a bad back means, that's no fun. And absolutely impossible to rest that area. I've been barely hanging on to my back since '08 with a broken pelvis and torn back.
Good luck, get well!

Eventually the back seems to do all us fabricators in. Two years, this September, since my back surgery and it's still only about 60~70 %
and that's on a restricted lifting and work schedule. I'm pretty sure I'll be on my 800 mg Ibruphen, two aspirin, and a tramadol regimen,
twice daily for the rest of my working life....which means I die of either Kidney or liver failure......with bumper in my hand.
Given the choice of completely stopping, it's like the sage said " There's little difference between a long life or a short life, both are just moments in time. It's what you do with those moments "

I just read the part about your back, sorry to hear about it, that really sucks. About ten years ago I hurt my back during a helicopter raid, it was pretty much the beginning of the end of my infantry days. It still flairs up, but what I found that has really helped me is an inversion table. Do 10 minutes when you wake up and ten minutes before you go to bed and you'll feel so much better. I won't cure you, but it will relax you A LOT. Hope you get better soon, happy independence day.
