Whoa, I missed this somehow! Congrats Hank and Mrs Hank.
I bet this little guy is getting big now!
He certainly is. Here he is in his banana hammock...

@riderjgs has had a good idea for a base camp around the Camp Hale area. It seems that with the infestation of side-by-sides, the difficulty level of the trails that I frequent are increasing. They tear up the trail and most of the operators are not of the responsible type. But, that being said, if you all get some lockers and sliders, I can show you some awesome parts of Colorado! Because if you don't get wheels in the air are you actually having fun? Unless it's all of the wheels, then that's a bad day so I've heard.
Just back from a solo 9-day elk hunt and seeing this for the first time. Camp Hale would be a good setting for a base camp-style excursion but I see Deo (cruiserjunktion) emerged from hibernation to remind us of something I posted here last July.

"Personal opinion…expand our horizons. Plenty of states left without starting repeats."

Those in the West where we haven't Partied include Wyoming (Redgrrr has suggested the Morrison Jeep trail), New Mexico, Nevada, and the far West states of California (northern CA east of the Sierras would be fun), Oregon and Washington. We've also barely touched Montana. Happy to help if Colorado is a repeat choice but would prefer to see some new country.

I seem to like the idea of East and West Pig Partys. Some can't make a long trip in their 55 for many reasons, so we have both in order to let everyone enjoy the backcountry on each side of the Continental Divide. I remain very thankful to a handful of people stepping up with taking the time planning, so we can drive in and enjoy the trip. All I can commit to saying is " we'll bring cookies! "

In 2020 we discussed the southern CO/NM location that, ultimately, covid wrecked the plans. There's plenty there to see there, fly fishing to enjoy and several great restaurants around Santa Fe. If the party went to southern NM, that's where I'm from and know that place well. Thoughts???

It's a long ways off, but it's something that I'd enjoy trying to attend.

I’m down. Would it be hot?

Not that far off to dream of Pig Parties!

Northern NM would be nice. There was also talk earlier about northern Nevada.

Isn’t there some cool stuff in Tennessee? Jack Daniels distillery?šŸ¤”

Land Between the Lakes is pretty flipping cool. A decent actual off road park, and tons of sketchy pencil line roads.

This might disappoint the hard core off road types, but you can start at Land Between the Lakes, which has lots of camping opportunities, and spend a day or two green laning through the western tip of the Smoky Mountains to Chattanooga, which passes through a shed load of cool towns, (including Nashville) and another shed load of distilleries, including Jack Daniels'.

I have started exploring Middle Tennessee, and really love the place.
