Just installed some limb risers on the 'TODEOTA'. They don't seem to be very popular in the states, but I know some have 'em. Who's got 'em?

Need to do mine. Good for the swamp.

Stainless steel eye bolt and nuts, brass washers, aluminum turnbuckle with galvanized ends, poly coated ss cable with aluminum crush collars...

Same as above except no turnbuckle, and I used two sizes of washers - I wanted the bigger washers to distribute the stress more on the hard top to prevent the bolt from tearing through the fiber glass, and I used ss links to couple the cables to the eye bolts.

I wanted to get materials that wouldn't rust and found everything at Tractor Supply. It's not the best to look at, but if you look at the rest of my rig, it isn't quite show quality, lol.

As for the weight, I don't know. I would say it's safe to assume in all with the bumpers, wheels, diamond plate, it's probably 650 lbs heavier than stock *guessing*.

MtnClimber, don't sell your rig short. Might not be show quality, but a great looking rig !

Thanks John.

If anyone was wondering, the turnbuckles do get it the way of latching and un-latching the hood, but it doesn't take more than a tug on the cable on each side to get the hood open. I contemplated it, and this was the best option I had in order to be able to open the hood at all.

Instead of the eye bolt through the roof I'm sure I've seen (was thinking of) holes drilled through the front steel lip of the roof with the quick links through the hole.
I know that if I'd of had that exposure with the bolt sticking out it would of been tweaked on the last few trips by a few "twigs"

This was never a problem or concern till I spent the bucks on the paint etc. before that I used to ram the s%$# out of anything that got in the way

Well, I don't think that lip would be strong enough without bending. Granted, limb risers would be best mounted from a Bush Bar to the Roof Rack, but I have neither. I thought about catching the eyebolts and I do see the risk. Hopefully with the cables being where they are, they will keep anything from catching them.
