You want a minimum of 60mm droop...

so blast from the past, but i got an update

phase 1 is 90% complete

i finally readjusted my torsion bars. i have pretty much exactly 60mm of droop in the front, allowing me to gain another inch of lift

i also got around to installing my OME863 springs in the rear

where i hooked up my license plate light. i found out the hard way its the brown wire you need to tap into

the rest of phase 1 will include finally getting my Borla muffler installed. i also plan on purchasing a welding machine and a tube bender, so imma practice and make a tube bumper and get rid of the brush gaurd. i also still need a set of sliders and still need to lower the rear bump stops

phase 2 will probably be some 1 ton axles front and rear. but thatll have to wait a while because i have this to screw with

edit:
anyone need a set of OME860 springs for cheap?

That's coming along great. The color of your truck sucks. :D

Now lose the brush guard before you bend it into your hoot or body (like I did in 2001).

? Are the 860's super Heavy?
Medium 865
Heavy 866 / 863

Found them, just not listed under his kits. These would be the light versions, no load.

OME860 | 2.5" | 0-200 lbs

I agree...looks real nice.

Looks sweet. I would suggest volvo portal axles, that would be crazy clearance, CLARENCE!

A nice blast from the past!

Dude, what is up with the grill guard....???

I'm stunned!

finally got my borla exhaust put on. i gotta say i was expecting it to be louder. i want to say its quieter than stock at idle (borla muffler w/o the resonator vs. stock muffler w/o resonator), but gets a nice deep rumble on acceleration. its louder on acc. but its not annoyingly loud. and i can barely tell a different at interstate speeds as my tires are still louder (it has a lower pitch hum). i wanna say my butt dyno feels an increase in HP, but who knows.

Glad to hear you got that Borla on. Sorry it's not as loud as you wanted. Maybe I wasn't super clear on it's sound.

IIRC, it had a fair rumble around 1800 rpms?

My neighbor came out today. Said he didnt know where I went for the last two months, but he heard me last night ripping down the street (in reverse, haha). Exhaust is just right IMO...although I'd love exhaust cutouts so I can really be obnoxious.

Trimming fenders and sliders.

Hi. Great cruiser by the way!

Here's a question. I noticed you did some trimming on the lower part of the front fender to reduce rubbing. But you didn't have sliders at a time. Any news on sliders? Did you get any?

I have slee sliders and I doubt they will allow 1' trimming as somebody here recommended.

i just trimmed the seam weld and smashed in the lower part of that weld and the rocker (i think ?). i dont have sliders yet (probably ordering some this month actually), so i'll let you know if there are any fitment issues.
this is the link to slee's website with pics of the sliders installed:
Slee - Toyota 100 Series Land Cruiser Rock Sliders
i think i might be a close fit...
edit: heres the pic again of what i trimmed off

ill update when i get my sliders

and loud, you have a borla? i thought you got something else.
and the borla is a great muffler. theres no droaning at all, even without the resonator installed.
