Went and picked up the tires and batteries today, but it was almost 9pm by the time I made it back to the shop. I'll put up some crappy night cell phone pictures tommorow, but lets just say the 37's are going to look good lol! Also got a few of the filler on the bed, and the pto winch getting mocked up.

new tires and rims 37x12.50r16.5 hmmwv new surplus on some used japanese surplus wheels i found. About a third the price of new rims and nittos. We tried mounting them at a little heavy equipment shop and the got them on the rim but couldn't seat the beads. Bongs working on that.

33-37's doesn't sound like much till they sit next to each other.

Ok and last but not least a dillema, Bong painted the roof white when i was planning on black. So leave it and the bezel white or paint it black like the rest of the trim?

Well for the heat over there white might be alright.
Looking good, I've been there twice I been sponsoring a student over in Mindanao but he finally got a good job working for the toll road near you in Guguinto I'll tell him to watch out for it when it's finished lol

Thanks for the pictures

Those tires are awesome! Have you got enough clearance?

Looks like plenty but I'll get some better pictures later this week before I go to work. I had them on hmmwv's when I was in the army and they pull ok and are better on road than the 36" wranglers. I really wanted to put 37" trail grappler mt's on but for 4 plus new rims was close to a grand a corner over here.

Delivered seats and some electrical stuff today. Heres how she sat today. See anything new in the cab?

Still on 33's because............

Having a **** of a time getting the bead set. Bongs been to 15 or 20 shops and they can't get the side walls to flex enough to seat both beads. We tried seating the open side with a motorcycle intertube and got the tire inflated and on the bead but couldn't get the tube out. Ether starting fluid is not availible here anyone have some ideas on this? Any replacements for ether that won't blow me up?

The answer to whats new in the cab, mocking up a 4pt cage and seat mounting points. The angled pieces will be a little lower.

So with mocking up seat mounts we need new seats right. Thailand copys of recaro sr3's so they say. Just about the only thing I could find to fit my oversize behind.

The moment I've been waiting for for the last 6 months, getting to sit in my truck for the first time since we started. Mocking up seat height. For those curious souls it was 13.5 inches at the bottom of the front of the seat, and 9.5 in the rear to be able for me to see over the hood.

Some other goodies finished up..

Hood, winch and roof. The roof is a modified fiberglass 40 roof cut and glassed together. Rock solid and good looking (the line is a shadow).

Not truck related but people ask me why I live in the Philippines when I could live anywhere in the world. My answer is where else will you find people so devoted to the local beer they make monuments to them. This is in a guys yard, nothing to do with the brewing company. For those that don't know Red Horse is a red beer somewhat similar in flavor to Killians but fortified with the local gin. comes in 500ml, 1L, and something around 1.5-2L. Not bad stuff but wicked hangovers lol.
