Who is our current goto parts guy. Last guys I have are Onur and Jim, both now out. Who's your guy?

I need some JDM parts. Specifically:

  • 1-HDT BELTS - Alternator Belts: 90916-02248 or 90916-02330; New #90916-02452, A/C Belt: 99332-11260-8T or New # (99332-11260-78).

Thanks
Rob

Rob,

You have part numbers? Start here.

cruisin4parts.com

It includes searches for a number of US dealerships, Amayama, partsouq and eBay. I paid for the membership, which was worth it so that I could get total amounts, including shipping.

NOTE: no affiliation, just a satisfied customer.

Partsouq has 3,138 alternator belts and 3,823 A/C belts in stock. We live in a golden age of parts availability. They will be here in about 4 days if you order tonight.

Torfab is in Seattle and I'm sure has many of those in stock. Support your local business.

Did you do the pro or the premium ?

I went with premium as I’m searching for parts for four trucks. I also am on there running part numbers for friends who don’t know about overseas parts vendors.

Cool. Thank you.

Premium says, 'Parts List with supplier name' what does that mean ? Just printable dealer list?

I can’t answer that, but the site developer can.
@Red Beard can you field this?

@jclark sure, I can help out. Thanks for the shout out and the tag!

@spikestrip, premium part lists will show the lowest price and who to buy it from, at a glance. The pro versions just get the lowest price.

The main differentiator in the plans is the search capacity. If you’re like jclark, and you’re overhauling four badass 60’s, you’ll want the unlimited searches. If you’re doing orders sporadically and if you want to see the total cost of the part shipped to your door, the pro membership is your plan. You can always get more search tokens if needed!

Thank you, @Red Beard !

May I offer a small suggestion: I probably won't purchase a 'Subscription' because, frankly, I hate recurring costs. I'm much more inclined (I think others may be, also) to just use tokens as I go, since my parts hoarding is mostly complete. Would it be possible to add a 50/100/200 token purchase option, with tokens that won't expire?

Kind of like eSnipe's business model for eBay?

Cheers on a great site to feed the addiction!

Yes! Totally! I hear you on the “another subscription” thing. I offer it because many like the simplicity and now, cost savings because I do have purchasable tokens that never expire:

cruisin4parts.com/pricing (scroll down below the subscriptions)

You’re confirming a suspicion I had that customers aren’t seeing the token option, so I need to do some work to explain that better. But yeah, tokens are also an option for you. No shipping costs shown, however.

Impex is the best price I could find .. for a lot of stuff. Worth it for bigger orders. But your waiting at Least 3 weeks bare minimum to receive

Smaller orders I just place online with local dealership and pickup next day usually.

Price is negligible/same if you factor shipping into it.

For OEM kits and “helpful” service.. cruiser outfitters.

Also throw out Georg at valley hybrids “ cruiser brothers?) has helped me out big time in a pinch and has some unique stuff with tremendous knowledge

Totally. @torfab is incrdeible. I just dont like to pester them with "the little s***." I pester them enough as it is!!
If you feel guilty for some reason, reward them with a sale.
Walking into a business, exchanging money for a part you know you need (you even posted a part number), and walking out with a smile is not pestering. It's support.
Walking in, buying a $10 part and then "let me pick your brain real quick for two hours", is pestering. Big difference.

@cruisermatt Speaking of, I need to order a few things from you. Is best way just to throw it in the Cart on your website? But I also have a couple questions about availability of some other items.
Thanks.

We have contact information on the site and you are welcome to ask away! Also, the website has maybe 10% of our inventory actually showing on it, so please ask if there’s anything else you need. It is getting parts added regularly but it is a slow process.

I also do quite a bit of “concierge” new OE parts sales with a growing roster of Mud members, for example, “I want everything for my rear brakes”, or, “everything rubber in my FJ62 engine bay”

This fella is a surgeon and still finds plenty of time to be his own parts professional, what’s everyone else’s excuse?
