Anyone know if the mechanism for the parking brake is zinc coated from factory? Or is it painted black? I am zinc coating parts and cannot find anything if these are zinc or pain.

No clue. What kind of zinc are you doing, elemental or chromate. I vote rust proofing and then paint or powder coat over top if that is compatible

What part of the mechanism specifically? The bell crank arm?

I did mine in gold cad. I believe it was some sort of galvanized process from the factory.

Not sure what this called rught off hand. From what I gather its yellow cadmium. Im trying to keep my rig to factory as possible
