Thinking of putting power steering in my 40. Looking at the mini-truck route. Running 33x10.5x15's.

What are the differences between the kits that classic cruisers and jt outfitters sell? Price? Quality? Potentially service from the 2 businesses?

I've also read quite a few threads on the subject here on Mud (namely the FAQ thread by Romer). Using wdorry's brackets etc. So is piecing it together much less expensive than the kits above?

Thanks in advance, Alan.

I won't do business with JT Outfitters. :flipoff2:'em

I have one good experience with Classic Cruisers, and some folks in the club had an exceptional experience with them.

probably always save $$ if you can piece together...... either of these you need to find a box... so start looking for that now..

You should be able to find it here at MUD from somebody. Call Mark at Mark's Off-Road. Mark is a good guy, and good for the Land Cruiser community. Mark is very old school, but his service and products are worth it.

I'm sure folks out there will have other ideas.

X2 on Joe Toyota :frown: i'm running CC mini truck Kit $$$ but very happy !

So what does Classic Cruisers get for their kit? I've called a few times but just get the answering machine. Can any of you remember what you paid? A ballpark figure would do. Might be worth the extra few dollars instead of collecting the parts individually. Any thoughts?

Best price P/S Brackets,GearboxSOLD OUT

I'm not making any more brackets and have about 15 gearbox and 30 pump brackets remaing. I will sell two brackets for $125.00 + shipping or one bracket for $65.00 + shipping. Shipping in continental US is $10.00 for one or two brackets. If you want more than two I will work out a special price. Thanks Bill

X2 for Mark's. I had great service from Mark's Offroad. Steer clear of JT Outfitters. I did not pay attention to the warnings here on MUD about staying away from them. Sure enough, I bought from them and the service was the worst. I spoke to the owner and he even refused to assist in correcting their wrong doing. Thank goodness I use American Express for all of my purchases (even through paypal).

Thanks for the heads up. I'm planning on piecing it together using Bill Dorry's brackets and Romer's tech how to. Need to round up the power steering gear box now.
