I've ordered a set. A friend will be hauling them back from Portland area in a couple of weeks. I'm looking forward to getting them on my truck. I'll be interested to see if I can keep the front mud flaps on with the sliders.

Oregon, what is your impression of the OPOR compared to your Metaltechs?
They look similar in that photo.

The OPOR are canted up slightly and maybe stick out 3/4" less. Both are great products. I have the Gen1 MT sliders with the evenly spaced legs which I'm very happy to have. The OPORs will pull duty just as well. A matter of preference.

For those wondering, these work great as a step. As OregonLC said, OPORs are canted up slightly from MT's. Comparing pics against WK's, OPORs appear to be canted up less. The 2nd stage rub-rail/hoop is roughly the width of the bottom part of the door, making it longer than other designs that have 2nd stage protection, which I personally like.

Couple pics of OPORs installed on my 100:

I got my OPOR sliders painted and installed. I'm really pleased with how they turned out. The fit is great and the quality is awesome. Easy install.
Now I need to go scratch them up! Elephant Hill is on my mind.
Mark, LT, and Brandon at Metal Tech were great to work with, highly recommend them. Thanks guys!
Hmm... I'd attach a couple of photos, but I can't figure out how...

Epic! Now I know what sliders the LX is getting...

Get in on the gb. Its only $10 more for the MT sliders at that price.

Edit: unless your gonna rattle can them.

I would be very interested to see them plated across

I put a set on my truck. Pretty happy with them. I had planned to do a detailed write-up with pics, but the sliders arrived days before I had to load my 100 on a boat so I was in a rush.

I will say, the middle leg that mounts to the frame is kind of annoying. The OPOR design has a really big flange-thing that sticks up and makes it hard to tuck the slider up tight against the body of the truck. I took them off several times to try to get it right, but it rubbed and made a racket unless I left the sliders in the lowest position on the u-bolts/frame. You can see the gap in the 2nd picture, it is not snug on the body. When my truck gets delivered, I will take them off again and fiddle with them but it seems this was the only way I could prevent noise from body contact.

I'm still very happy with them, but if there is feedback for the OPOR manufacturers it would be design the legs so the whole slider can tuck up tigher or maybe eliminate the middle leg. It is beefy and probably only needs the front and back legs to be super solid.

Sverige - Is that an updated design? Looks different than the pictures posted on their site.

I asked Mark to do full decking so I could use it as a step. Didn't want my kid to have a leg get jacked up falling into the opening. Metaltech did a great job with the dimple press. With all the welds on the deck, the slider is probably stronger than the standard open version.

That's a downfall with the White Knuckles. I've had a few people put their foot through the kick out.

Agree but if you're riding with me your already risking life so why not limb?

Seriously though I do warn people often, has not happened yet but could cost somebody a knee for sure. I do like simple for my post trip paint touch ups. I also tie the dog on the kick out while camped, so far have not Grizwalded him:)

My buddy coulda used some sliders at the beach yesterday... ouch.

Don't ask how he hit that stump, he is a very talented Marine. :)
