Well, here’s the carnage. RIP to the ring gear. View attachment 3862765View attachment 3862766View attachment 3862767
I don’t have a front locker. I was in sand and either did it by spinning the front wheels and catching traction on one side where I stacked rocks, or by trying to rock it by fogging forward and reverse too quickly. (I think)Just curious, it doesn't snow where I live but I do take trips where is snows. What's the best strategy to avoid this, engage front locker and try not to get the RPMs too high?
My bad, I mixed up this diff grenade story with another one.I don’t have a front locker. I was in sand and either did it by spinning the front wheels and catching traction on one side where I stacked rocks, or by trying to rock it by fogging forward and reverse too quickly. (I think)
A similar situation in the snow would be spinning wheels, and then catching traction on pavement. Slow and steady wins the race.My bad, I mixed up this diff grenade story with another one.
