New here posting on the forum but have learned a lot. I have to put a plug in for Ryan Bascom @OTRAMM. He is working on my newly acquired locked 96 FZJ80 and has had to fix a bunch of screw-ups of previous mechanics. He just finished removing the oil pump cover where all the screws were stripped - he said it's the worst he's ever seen. We drive over an hour to get our trucks to him because of what I've read on Ih8mud about him. He is knowledgeable, honest, reliable and definitely does excellent work (but you all know that-this is for people who may just be getting on this site). He has helped me over the phone when I was in search of our second FZJ80. (He also took care of our unlocked 97 FZJ80 last year before my son took it to college in Texas.) Thanks also to @FloridaFJ80 for meeting me at the po's house to look at the 96 LC before I decided to buy it and helping me negotiate a good deal (I found @FloridaFJ80 thru this forum too- he was looking for a shop share so I figured he had knowledge of LC's and he is close to Sterling, VA where the car was located and the po would not allow me to take it to Ryan). Looking forward to having the truck back in much better mechanical condition.

That's a thought...but since Ryan is such a genius with Land Cruisers and I'm so cute (at least that's what my husband thinks) everybody would want to join, and we might get sued for discrimination

and girls! (Heard it's all men in CLCC - does that mean I shouldn't join? I'll have to get my husband to go to the meeting then) Anyway, I like learning about fixing stuff so I might go bother Ryan while he's working on our truck.
