Looking to sell my sisters NOT LOCKED 1996 FZJ80 (has CDL switch added). 272K Miles. Its a poverty pack with no roof rack and no holes for roof rack. Solid Cargo Windows. Cloth manual seats, but still has a sunroof.

The truck has had all of its service done by either Redline, Valley Hybrids, or Yotamasters... depending on what base they were stationed at the time.

The truck is in great running condition, with the AC and heat working perfectly. Great original paint. Clean smoke free interior with perfect headliner and seats are not torn or stained. The truck has just had a CA Compliant full exhaust system installed a week or so ago. It will come with some nice Covercraft seat covers to protect the seats that fit very well.

The only downside is that the PO of this vehicle hid some surface rusting when they sold it to my sister and she doesnt know much about cars. Ive pressure washed most of the old coating off to show the true condition of the rust. Its also missing one wheel center cap

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or would like more info

No third row seats either, shame about the rust. GLWS
Oh good catch. Didnt notice that. The rear cargo mat is just from a normal 80.

All things considered, the rust isnt too bad. My daily driver fj60 has more frame rust and its my only vehicle. It seems the rust is worst in the side steps and the frame rails can be remedied. There are the 2 spots in the paint though. If i had the money, id be buying this one from my sister haha

So cool! Looks like the unit the UN would have used in the 90’s.

Would be a cool and worthwhile restoration,
Wish it was closer!

Ironically I recently moved to Oregon from Tennessee! This one wouldnt take much. It was already being used for daily driver duties

Can you share a VIN or location history of the rig?

That’s a fairly significant amount of chassis rust. And fairly widespread to be honest.

Might help ease some concerns based on where it lived its life.

It’s been in Ft Carson Colorado, and Ft Irwin in CA and Portland Oregon for the time she’s owned it. I’d say for 6 or 7 years I believe.

The chassis rust actually isn’t that bad. The flaking is the coating that the PO put on it that I’ve been trying to remove.

My daily driver 60 series that I’ve daily driven for over 10 years has significantly more rust to be honest, but I don’t live where they salt roads

I am local to PDX and lookin for an 80, this is a little out of my price range and the wheel well rust might be a bit much for my skills, curious what it looks like behind the steps.

I’ll shoot you a pm. The rockers are fine besides the one spot in the photos. The steps are rusty but the actual body isn’t

A white smooth top 96 with cloth interior? My unicorn. I wish I was in a better position to make an offer. Finishing up another project right now. Hard to believe you still have it in the PNW, they tend to go fast up there.

This thing is wicked cool I really like the cloth seats

Thanks man! I totally agree. I have been trying to talk my sister into keeping it to be honest, but shes not a cruiserhead and used it just to get to rock climbing trails haha its kind of sad
