There are folks that like those wheels, I have a set on my pickup.
Build your truck with any wheels that trip your trigger. "Proper" wheels is highly subjective. Every single choice on a vehicle is subjective. That vehicle that just sold for $100K had the subjective choices of at least two owners, that I know of. Personally I am not a fan of brown interiors, I prefer black and shades of gray. But the PO and the current owner liked the brown interior enough to buy the truck.
Part of the deal with customers is they inevitably ask your opinion on things like color selections. I try real hard to never directly answer those types off questions. Main reason is that subjective thing I mentioned. I have installed all sorts of things that do not trip my personal trigger in vehicles, houses too when I was a builder. I do not judge. Taste is taste. There are lines in the sand, like a customer that wants an orange and white paint job. I'll do it but I already expressed my opinion to the owner.
