^^^ Same here, have one for my office setup (work PC and monitors) and another for router / one mesh wifi point.

Cutting the cord has turned out to be more expensive than expected. YouTubeTV $65/mo, Ting Fiber $89/mo, Netflix, Prime; thankfully we're using a family member's HBO account. I'm not big into TV (college football, Naked and Afraid, some random documentaries) but my wife is. Even with Spectrum's ever-escalating prices, basic cable + 200mbps internet is a cost savings and the TV UX doesn't suck donkeyballZ like YT TV.

We have fiber - so what. 2 people in the house is all, and no exotic "requirements." If a web page loads 10ms faster on fiber than cable, who even notices? And I set my torrenting speeds to max overnight, very limited during our waking hours.

I tried an OTA antenna but to do it properly, we'd have to go with roof-mounted or at least an attic contraption: our home sits on the downside of a berm and we got very little reception w/ the antenna in the house.

I'd keep fiber if we could find an affordable streaming service that doesn't suck. Sling looks closest to what we "need." Otherwise, the Spectrum internet/tv bundles are looking decent again, even with having to go through the annual promo rate renewal....

Not counting what I pay for my internet service we currently pay $56 a month.
$40 for mlb TV
$11 for Netflix (never raised us up to the new price)
$5 for the locast app that gives us all the local channels and some random cable channels
The mlb TV I only do from June to October so most of the year we pay $16.
Our Hulu is free to us from our phone provider
Pluto TV is a free App with tons 9f shows and movies.
CT
Crackle TV is free
Amazon prime TV and movies is free with our prime account. We have it for the free same day shipping we can get on most items in the seattle area. And get about 4-5 packages a week so it's paid for itself in shipping fees before I think about what the app is costing us.
Plex is a free app with loads of movies and shows and my friends and I also use it to access each other's "servers" where we have about 10,000 movies and shows stored.
I most likely have about 10 other free TV apps I've forgotten about.
We have never paid for TV in our life so the thought of having to pay for direct TV or something like that isn't on our mind.
All other sports I can usually find a good website to stream it into the Xbox. Mlb is the harder one.

Thought this was cool. Our local Huntsville Toyota dealer has a body shop that is painting the local 37’ fire truck. Amazed they have a paint booth for a 37’ truck.

So, tech people... My phones and computers are working just dandy on my Charlotte house wifi right now. None of the TV's are getting internet for the last hour. They all say some form of "not (or may not be) connected to internet". Gone through the kill/replace power cables, check for network, confirm network & password, but no dice on anything other than cable channels. 4 TV's, 2 brands, all the same situation. All the proper modem and router lights seem to be lit up.

The hell of it is that the same thing happened at my mom's in VA last Thursday. I reported it Saturday. They sent a tech today but all I know so far is that it's working now. WTFO

One of our TV's started doing this earlier this week. I just assumed it was because our firestick updated and Amazon wants us to buy a newer model. Hahaha

For $127K, you would think they could get a decent set of wheels and bumpers.

Friday night thought after washing these 2: The replacement cost for either one has gone insane. I worried a little about this when I owned the Troopy before it was legal and because of how much I had invested in it. Has anyone started looking for new insurance for their cruisers that will actually insure it for what today’s prices are ?

@QsLC75 a good friend of mine recently insured his 60 with Hagerty’s. He said the process was really smooth and he determined the value at which he wanted it insured. Also said the cost wasn’t terribly different than his previous policy either. Been thinking about it a while for the white 80 as well.

I have both of my 40s insured with Hagerty. No complaints really. Rates increased a good bit after the first year but that was when there were a couple hurricanes. Rates have stayed stable since then.

For a recreational vehicle - not a DD - you could also look into a stated value policy. I did that on the 40 (which I rolled, and got stated value minus buyback).

Now that you mention it that may have been what my friend did with his 60 through Hagerty’s.

EDIT- Just spoke to him and that’s exactly what he did. He said his premium actually went down from his previous policy but only by a little.

Same thing happened to me, updated fire stick ,and everything worked great again.

So. My wife saw me ordering more parts for my truck online. She asked where i got the money for all that. “Dont worry, I been getting some overtime” i said. She said don’t be wasting money when we’re trying to finish the house in the near future.
