Does anybody have an in with hotels or know of a secret discount? Me and the family are are headed towards Asheville tonight from Chapel Hill.

I'm a Marriott and hilt on member. I also got a Marriott credit card that I now use for all the bills. it gets you bonus points, nights, and discounts. something to look into down the road. you just gotta make sure you don't get in a hole quick.

Thanks. We ended up at Aloft Downtown Asheville. We’ve stayed here several times and they always do a good job of accommodating my crew. Every room has a fridge to store breast milk, It’s dog friendly so there’s plenty of animals for Isla to pet, they always have a crib available for Ezra and most importantly the baby monitor picks up at the bar downstairs. In all fairness, teachers and LEOs are BY FAR, the most egregiously underpaid professions in the country. I think the intention of this meme is to highlight tradesmen are just as important as degreed work, which is fine, but it takes an unnecessary jab at HS teachers if you ask me

I dont think it is about teachers but about the teacher that predicted you were going to fail because a cliche.
I had great teachers and professors but the no so great i am glad the were wrong about me and they still in the same s*** hole that they were when they predicted i was going to fail in life. ( i still cannot write but that is a different issue ).
The good teachers and professors will always better themselves and their level of living no matter what their salaries are. I guess all of us will.

Exactly correct Rafael. I attended regular high school, full course load and went to Tech school at the same time. I was told by several high school teachers that without a college degree I'd never go anywhere. They were self righteous on a good day.
I agree that teachers are underpaid on a whole. I also agree that there is a whole lot of evidence supporting the saying "those that can't do, teach" My sister is a prime example. She is a screaming liberal that dumps her personal views on students that are forced to listen to her and SHE is the authority. She thinks because she did the research that she actually did the work. All she does is pass on things that she read, zero practical experience in anything, except teaching.
That was the point of the meme, those that never did anything but teach telling young minds that unless they go the same route with college, they will never do anything EITHER. I had some very good teachers that actually cared, but I had just as many that were just scatting by.
