Gassed up, stocked with Red Bull and granola bars, and have plenty of extra fluids.

Here we go.

As you can see more gas stops. Almost to Indianapolis. Eating dinner with some friends there downtown before heading down the highway to stay in Louisville for the night.

Check Engine Light came on before Peoria IL. Didn't have anything to jump the terminals so I stopped at Autozone to buy some wire. They had a massive line and my brother saw a Toyota dealer was right down the street. Went there about 30 min before close. All the tech had left but the service manager help me test and came back with code 25. Also pointed out a vacuum line disconnected. He said it's either that vacuum line causing the issue or bad O2 sensor. Either way, that we should be able to head down the road. Light goes off when starting it back but comes on 5-10 min into highway driving.

After another gas stop I found a second line disconnected that wasn't before. Though it's the same connector (see picture above).

This 62 drives great. Averaging 12 mpg and hasn't used any oil.

Well poop.... checked steves, rices and my buddy erics coolant and just now checking mine.....

Forgot I blew a TB coolant line in NM and had to add water. My protection level is only +10 it says and all stores are closed.

Where are you?

THanks guys... sorry for delay. Was diggin out incandescent bulbs from trash and an extension cord.
Running that at the moment between block and motor mount while looking for options

Im at home..... 40 min from a 24 hr walmart that will only have green. Steve left me some evil orange out next door.
Could mix and perform full flush or may just idle it all night to be safe but im not getting heat from vents

16 oz of 70% isopropyl in the cabinet.... would worry about seals. Have you any experience with it or trusted source?

None whatsoever. I just know that stuff wont freeze until some triple digit below zero temp.

cool... thanks for the ideas.... not sure 16 oz into 4 gallons would do

idling with a bulb burning under neath....

Wow .... sorry I missed the text dude. Yup, just an incandescent spotlight sitting on a fender well aimed at the block and a blanket or tarp over the top of the motor (and then hood closed) would do it. Hope you're okay up there. The good news is it only got down to 6 last night and it takes a long time for that big iron block to dump heat.

EDIT .... while I would not worry about a frozen/cracked block the radiator dumps heat in a hurry (duh) .... so watch for overheating on your first startup in case coolant there is frozen, even if it isn't cracked.

Thanks for the reading material for the sleepless moments though im in need of clear head to process the TSB

Haha!! Wouldn't have bothered me a bit pal!

Hope it worked out for you, man. That was the main reason I went green in the two 80s and my 4runner. Ease of ability to find it.

Wish I had known Ralph Speas. But now he's dead. And all his junk is for sale, on Craigslist. Most of it looks like junk, but check out that hella sweet butcher block!

Estate Sale of Ralph Speas

Yeah im not anti green. Just splurged for red when i did new toyota oem radiator and tstat last time. Just knew i couldnt flush with any hose around here for a couple days..... plus the local to me walmart was already closed.

It was sketchy drive to Battleground store or idle all night..... turns out staying here was safest and used less fuel lol

The shelf is sweet... singer sewing machine legs maybe?

I saw that splitter .... worth a call i guess but saw the estate sale dates were 12/2,3,4. A month ago so wasnt sure if anything was still being processed or sold.

Man. I tell you what.....good neighbors are priceless. Look what was delivered to my doorstep this morning. Not only did he offer to sacrifice his wifes chickens but brings me the nectar of the TEQ gods too . That guy is beyond just alright
