We had a loaner Tauerg a long time ago. It was quite nice. There was one reason that would keep me from buying it, and perhaps they've changed this feature...You couldn't start it unless your foot was on the brake (common and not so bad, just irritating) AND your seatbelt was fastened. When I lived in PA we had pretty stringent vehicle inspection. My Ford F250 was failed once because I had disconnected the beeper for key in ignition, I challenged it and they had to give me a sticker. But there was a section in the statute about it. A friggin beeper.....

Foot on brake is for keyless ignition (I have other veeheecles like that), so nothing new for me to get used to. Seat belt is a pain for sure, the first thing I change with VAG software and special cable. I will also change the number of blinks for land change from 3 to 5. And maybe leave fogs on with high beams. There might be other configs, I have to look. In my experience, most VW group cars come ready with all sensors and they just restrict the software for the "lower" grade models, or European versions.

I see zombies driving around every day, meandering on the highway at all kinds of speeds and ignorant of other drivers. Their cars must stink!
