Good thing I did the mockup. Found three issues I need to deal with. All easy stuff.

I also got in the correct size regulator and some adjustable blow off valves. I have a feeling the blow off valves don't need to get into this kind of granularity nor adjustability for what we are working with so I'm just going to go with pre-set units.

Can we talk about pros/cons on tank placement?

AND

Don't mean to put you on the spot but can you give a rough estimate on cost of your first kit?

Many thanks!

There are only four options:
1. Inside the cargo area
Pro: Easy enough to find a place to mount. Won't rust.
Con: Takes up valuable cargo space. Need to run line to drain water. Have to listen to the blow off valve when not expecting.

2. Under the truck's cargo area:
Pro: Plenty of space. Easy bolt up solution (once I'm done). Out of the way of damage
Con: Requires spare removed

3. Under driver's side next to frame:
Pro: Out of the way. Useful if you are running a spare tire or gas tank. I'll have a mount for it as well.
Con: Some if not most, sliders will limit its mounting

4: Behind front bumper:
Pro: Basically protected by the bumper and/or winch. I will have a kit for ARB bumpers.
Con: Blocks the Power Steering paperclip. More exposed to potential rocks.

NO clue. I just tallied up the total of everything for the York OBA kits and after everything is said and done, and they haven't even shipped yet, I lost $11 for each of the kits so I really need to rethink my pricing. I'm not interested in dialing back the quality/features so I need to just resign myself to charging more for these kits. Boo.

Damn! Sorry to hear that. I almost feel guilty for buying one now!!

Don't! Its my own fault. I can't leave well enough alone. I wanted anodizing. I wanted laser etching. I wanted zinc plating. I wanted OEM belt (vs Dayco cogged), I wanted OEM tensioner bolt vs off the shelf option. I could have done it cheaper, I chose not to. And I wouldn't change it. My next go around I'll add some profit padding. Its ok. Not the end of the world. :P

Now that all of the York bracket kits are going to be shipping I need to finalize the tank mounting and manifold mounting. Its getting close.

Pretty sure you're supposed to total all those things up first?? :flipoff2: Great product as always, but you need to start making a little bit of money or these great new products aren't going to stick around for long.

Yeah I know. I try and tally everything at the beginning and get all the quotes I can. Then I pick a margin I'll be happy with. Things change. Not enough interest, qty changes so per piece price increases, change mind on a finish, production delays forcing new vendor, etc etc and pretty soon the built it margin gets eroded.

Just giving you s***, I know it is not an easy thing to tackle. It is awesome you are doing it! I commend you on all the high quality products you are bringing to market. I know tough market and you want to keep prices as low as possible but seriously you need to make a little cash to stay afloat.

Yeah its why I'm in no hurry to run the FEMs again or anymore 80s LockBoxes. I sit on them for too long but I gotta pay for it all. I'll find that happy medium somewhere. Wits' End is my full time "job" now so I need to make sure that I can one day take a paycheck. I know my wife would be happy. :P

Yeah and when you figure it out PM me. I have two junk cruisers that I need to figure out how to get them to make money for me too! Lol

Hypothetically speaking, if someone wanted to Paypal that missing $11 to you, what email would one use?

Nope. I don't want to do that. But thanks ;)

But if there is anything else you may need feel free to peruse the site :flipoff2:

Have it your way. What's your highest margin item? ;)
