Yes brakes every <5k is a joke. Something isn't right.
I'm at 85k and my rear brakes are getting low. Will probably do all 4 at 90k, though I suspect the fronts could inch past the 100k mark. I've had the truck since 49k so not sure if the brakes were original but half my mileage is towing and half is pure city so either way I feel good about their service life.
