Long-time lurker/dreamer finally pulled the trigger on a pig.
1978 original colors were white and blue.
Power provided from GM Goodwrench 350 to assumed stock 4 speed.
Odometer at 63,000, surely rolled over.
Body looks good from afar. PO painted darker blue and has rust bubbles popping up.
Previous life from Washington, then Iowa. Picked up late May.

Had a few interesting trips so far.
Stuck calipers, boiling brake fluid and a cracked fuel filter spraying on the windshield while driving. Luckily not to far from home.
All replaced now.
Have great condition door and rear interior panels with all hardwear.
PO provided new metal window holder, front turn signals and new door rubber for all 4 doors.
Bonus. Connected the wires in the tailgate and magically the window worked great.

Work to date:
New calipers, hoses and rotors in front.
New fuel filter and fuel line, routed away from the motor, not on top of the motor.
Frame wire brushed and painted with rust reformer. Still need to do frame interior.
Half complete with interior firewall sprayed with rust reformer.
Took apart and cleaned front air vents.
Pulled blower motor, cleaned, painted reinstall.
Surface shield as much as possible in rails by windshield and above front fenders.
Drain and fill transmission
Full lube
Sound deaden doors and rear quarters
Cleaned up engine bay and wiring
Mounted and wired provided turn signals
Pulled and painted battery tray
New plugs, radiator hose
Added fan shroud…kind of

Known issues:
Odd drip rails by front window
Rust through partial front floor pans and near rear seat
Oil drain bolt leak
Typical dash cracks and warped glove box
Bondo in places yet to be found

Looking forward to some good times!
Thanks to all that post and provide solutions, has been a huge help already!

Spent some time cleaning the heater, new hoses and cleaned out the duct and heater core.
New foam inside to help try and seal it a little better.
Once cleaned, I liked the metal patina and decided to keep it as is.
I did paint the interior of the heater box, just in case it ever leaks.

Been updating here and there where I can until floor is addressed.
New clutch master cylinder, slave cylinder later in the month.
Original color found lurking under the fuel door.
