So my old oil pan was leaking and I ordered a new one but my old one does not have the baffle as the new one does. will this affect operation or install?

thanks

Who did you order it from?

Have you tried to fit the pan yet?

I got it from a local toyota dealership. I have not tried fitting it yet. The inside of the pan just looks different and I wanted to make sure it was ok to use.

Ok; so you purchased a new OEM part.

Try fitting it up to the engine block without the gasket in place to make sure anything inside the new pan clears the oil pump/pickup.

I pulled the pan off my 1971 f engine a few months back and it had either 2 or 3 simple baffles. Having the baffles is good, keep the oil from sloshing around to much. Like poser said, if it fits then your good.
