I looked at the 55 for sale in Charlotte today. It's rough. Bondo over rust with red paint. Not many salvagable panels. Plenty of rust in the floor. It's bad. Roof-off restoration by forklift at the salvage yard. It may be good for a few parts...disc brake front axle...2F and 4 speed and Xfer in unknown condition...Weber...The best thing on it is the radiator which is practically new. I did yank the factory jack and rods for $12. It is frozen and will need to be rebuilt. Nothing much to see here. The guy will take $500 for it if you take the whole thing. I tried to get him to let go of the AISIN hubs but he wanted to keep them with the front axle.

I actually need a radiator for mine! One of my doors is siezed and I'm afraid I may need the internals, but not sure if I need to spend $500 to get a few pieces and then have to worry about parting the rest out and scrapping the remains...

Did not try to wind the windows but all glass is in place except the windshield which is laying in the back seat. Windshield is cracked right down the middle. The doors had their panels intact so the internals are probably okay. I am like you. Not sure if I can justify it at $500. It would take at least another buck to get it roll-backed to my house. If there were a couple of good body panels that I could sell off I would jump on it just for the engine, trans and disc front axle but my 40 is doing fine withe the F and drums for now. Decisions.....

What's scrap steel going for these days? You might be able to pull a bunch of parts, then scrap the body and frame, then make all of your money back.

The owner is Russian and doesn't speak English very well. He seems like a good guy. Just hard to communicate with him.

The guy said the scrapyard was going to give him $300 for it. Don't know if that is true or a guesstimate.

That is what I am hoping to do with my parts van.

That is about right $300 probably 12.5c a lb.

Not rollable. Missing PS rear axle shaft and three wheels. Fourth wheel tire is falling off rim. You'd have to drag it into a roll-back or winch it up onto a trailer.

Anybody got a spare 80 series birfield available?
Later style for ABS. Doesn't have to have the ring.

I do but it has a little binding in a few directions! Shipping will be cheap!!
