No biggie for the cover to be off. FWIW, not a 4L80E. 4L60E IIRC.

Had to look again and you’re right it’s the 4l60e. Thanks.

And yeah I know it’s not the end of the world, but I’ve been driving through long grass and having to pick that out of the leaf springs, I can’t be party to a flywheel lawn trimming service.

Then put the 40s that are on Biscuit on the 60, and you can never touch grass again....

Went to the Pull-a-Part in Winston and the 80 is still there. It has no rims, passenger seat, front fenders, or inner front fenders. The passenger fender and the lower tail gate are in back. Seat belts are shot but it still has some trim pieces. No front drive shaft and the body has rust. Truck lived in Boone. Back seat are in better than average shape and the interior is brown cloth.

I got the passenger seat of that truck after a Sharpie leaked all over mine along with headlights, side marker lights and grille. Interior was in good shape. Like Matthew Spencer said, body and undercarriage have rust, Boone and Appalachian Ski Mountain stickers all over it. Wrecked on rear quarter so it could have been an insurance car meaning the drivetrain is good??
