I'm looking for a carb cooling fan for a '77 FJ40. The Relic Run brought to light a hot start issue. I picked Dave Rushing's brain and he suggested a carb fan. So the search begins.

Anyone have one or a lead for one. I have already hit up @Roxx.

At the end of the day, you still have a 2nd Gen 4Runner - still have IFS and still have very little room in the back seat compared to an 80.

$19K can buy a lot of 80 even with the market going up :)

For me, a mint 1st Gen 4Runner with a really nicely rebuilt 22RE maybe a close second :)

For $19k, I'll drop a new 22re into my 1st gen 4r, and paint it just about any color youd like (within reason). ;) Heck, I may even throw in an 80 series

I didn't say I would SPEND $19K! :) I would pocket the difference of course.

Been thinkin about trying to buy my '85 4Runner back as of late, but I don't think it is for sale.

Everything is for sale. ;-)

Not everyone is a buyer:rofl:

WTB .... fj40 bezel. Prefer early model.

Thanks,

WTB Looking for 1/4" thick rubber sheets to use for floor mats for my 40. I tried closed cell foam for the mats I made last week but I believe they will not last, to soft. Found 1/2" rubber sheets at Tractor Supply but the stench was more than I was willing to stand. I have looked at industrial supply stores on the web but their pricing is extremely high.

Any ideas?

costco has weather tech cut to fit cargo mats on sale at the Greensboro store. near the back where all the auto stuff is. they also have cut to fit floormats in a 4 pack

How large are you needing? I may have something that might work, depending on the size

@David1947 - if you leave those rubber stall mats out in the sun for a week or two the stench will go away. We used those to line the floor for our garage gym and it was definitely unbearable for a while. Tractor Supply does have 1/4" rubber mat too. It still smells and is sold by the foot from a giant roll.

Hi, this is Robert from Charleston with the black hundy. I went on the Last Hurricane Creek trip June 2-4. Looking for used sliders for a 2003 100 series. If I can't source used sliders I have narrowed new sliders to Metal Tech, White Knuckle, and Cruising Off Road in no particular order. All 3 have the kick out at the rear but the COR appears to have a better frame mounting system which wraps the frame from below and the step is angled upwards; I think the flat step will better suit me for reaching items on the roof rack.

Deal of the Day!!!! $18K

Hey, it was $20K yesterday :)

Had a '49 CJ2A when I moved to this state, dead stock and it ran great. Somehow convinced it was NOT the right vehicle for F'n yuppie Cary (no child belts/restraints, jamming to soccer practice with my girls hanging out the back which they loved to do in WA) and sold it with massive regret ever since...:bang:
