Inexplicably, that 100 is now speaking to me... I don't know, call it intangible qualities? You might be looking at a real steal at a mere 20.3% over the KBB value...

He said KBB is based on reported actual sales numbers, so since so few 2006/7 were manufactured and resold, their data can't reliably approximate the resale value (I filled in some blanks there). What I'm thinking is.. isn't that what KBB and NADA are for? To determine market rates? I know dealers use wholesale numbers that us mere mortals can't access. KBB on a Fj60 isn't $35k, but to me a better case could be made based on condition, rarity, and collectability.
Oh and he said a famous person (who I don't know and can't remember the name) owned it and it was their ski chalet vacation car. That's how he got it in 2014 with 17k miles. That would be one of the intangibles.

I guess it depends on how much you want a 100 - at that price, you would/could/have to consider 200s - unless you truly hate the look/function of 200s.....

Most dealers use black book which updates weekly based on auction they will use that at the "MSRP" on a used vehicle than add on their cost to obtain the vehicle auction fees, employee wages, service costs, and so on. So he could be right on the money for a dealer. KBB is an alright tool for person to person but the majority of the dealers do not use kbb other than a marketing tool.

KBB is a good value (starting point) for a vehicle you are going to sale. But I wouldn't buy at that price. Nada is usually a little more realistic. Black book, is wholesale pretty much what the auction are getting for them in average condition.

Originally, yes. But the Fed and State taxes took care of that idea. I did contact this seller and he still has the doors and top and told me I was next in line if the first person didn't take them. I can scrape enough up for this. Hopefully! I still have to contest and figure out the tax bill I got from the Feds just before tax day. Maybe I can sell some platelets.

There was a military trailer for sale on the side of the road yesterday on Rea Rd between Providence Rd and Colony/Rea Rds. I don't know which one but it wasn't very large. Weather was bad and I was in a hurry so no pics or other info. I might be able to swing by there again after dark tonight or tmrw night to at least get a number if it's still there, but I won't unless someone asks. Too busy and too injured.
I think Adam went to look at it this weekend. That is a pretty dang good price, it seems like hundo's are starting to be the bargain of the cruiser world. Factory locker for 5k??? can't really beat that.

Sounds like there may be a new Hundred amongst the crowd. Factory locker inop at the moment but hopefully an easy fix.
Agree hundreds are getting more and more affordable. It may have a colorful carfax report but drives great, just in need of deep clean. Lift, sliders, arb, ipf lights and a rear storage platform. Deal!

There may actually be two soon.... saw one on saturday that may be too good to pass on this time for the price of it and condition.
Went and looked at an 80 also but the "runs fine nothing wrong mechanically" was met by a lot of valve train noise and a slipping trans.
