This month. We are moving the beginning of June.
I also have a bent wheel off of an fj60 if anybody wants it for anything for free.
I have the front left leaf springs from an ome lift for fj60 for free.
Might be posting More as we are going through a bunch of stuff.

Roger that, I'll make arrangements to pick them up.

Charcoal canister for 60 needed.

The charcoal canister in my 60 is bad and no one makes a replacement. Anyone have a working one they would be willing to part with?

Can you open it and refill it? I have a 30 or so lb bag of high quality activated carbon. You're welcome to a few scoops.

80's can use the VC120 charcoal canister designed for GM vehicles and it only costs about $30 if I remember correctly. I don't know if 60's use the same size/type canister.

Why do you think it's bad? Swap the hoses on top if you are getting too much pressure. Problem solved. Worked for me.

Thanks James! I'll do a little research and see if that's possible

I might have to go this route, I looked and you can retrofit the same canister for the 60 pretty easily. Probably what I'll have to do if know one has one to sell.

I took out the canister and tested it from the fsm and I'm fairly certain the check valve is stuck. I will check the lines running to it though just to be on the safe side.mthanks for the heads up.

Anybody need O2 sensor gaskets? FYI I think the style changed for 1995+. These were extras I ordered for my 1994. Beer me.

I'm looking to replace the FJ40 I sold 7 years ago. I would say it was a mistake but it helped get my girls through college. I would appreciate any leads. I prefer a "75" or newer. This is to be a project not a true restoration. I have set up alerts on CL. EBAY, and Google. Everything I get so far is on the other side of the country or ridiculously priced. Thanks in advance.

Good luck with the pricing. It's high right now. I've been buying from other areas that have more reasonable pricing. Lower demand type areas.

If it's a grand to ship it, but you pay $2-3k less than local value it's obviously worth it.

So when you say project - you mean a driver or no?

Driver, definitely. I don't care what motor is in it , it will be yanked anyway, as long as it is dependable. I prefer that the original 4spd and transfer case are still in place. I don't mind replacing a body panel here or there. Patching a few holes. But rebuilding an entire or purchase of a new tub is out of the question. It must have the hardtop and a good roof.
Its not the shipping alone. I will not buy a vehicle I don't inspect myself. The round trip airfare on short notice can get pricey. I have a few leads for local, in state, FJs. I'm not in a hurry. And I am wary of each and every add. So far at least half are bogus.

WTB: transmission reverse switch for 1978 FJ40. Looks like they are available online for ~$75, but if someone has one they are willing to sell for less in the Raleigh area I'd rather just get locally. PM me or feel free to call/text me at 919-649-4302. Not a big deal, just would be a nice to have and fix something else on the truck that isn't working (it literally does not have a switch at all ever since I bought it).

Hmm . . . .1997 Toyota Landcruiser

Might be a good place to start. It would need a new engine, rebuild the transmission, all new suspension and axles w/ locksers (also currently for sale), trail armor.

He took it down for a while and now it's back up
