Here it is - REGISTRATION is open!

As a club we have decided that the Carolina Relic Run will be our large public event with unlimited attendance and that Logan's Run would be kept within the boundaries of Group Camp and have a smaller "family" style feel. If you'd like to come to this year's Logan's Run you have to be an ONSC Member in good standing. If you are not a member of the club you still have time to fix that!
  • JOIN or RENEW your ONSC membership here: ONSC Membership - https://onsc4x4.com/membership/
  • This year's event will not focus on sponsors (just like last year)
    • Tickets for the raffle will NOT be LIMITED - buy as many as you like, but know there will not be a lot of prizes...
    • Because of the membership requirements, we are significantly lowering the cost of this event. Our plan is to "Give Back" to the club while still making sure that we give a good portion of our proceeds to charity.
      • Cost for an ONSC member: $30
      • Not an ONSC member......you can't go... really.... we mean it. NO WALK UPS.

REGISTRATION IS LIVE

Attendance is limited and campsites are strictly first come, first serve. There is NO walkup option this year. Please note that we only have Site B and Site C this year. We don't feel that this will be a concern for our crowd limit but we will need to make sure we are on our usual good behavior so as not to annoy the group in Site A.

Event begins at noon on Thursday, September 19th

Logan Monk, an ONSC member who was instrumental in the growth of the club is the key inspiration behind this event. His parents Lydia and Kenny continue to inspire us with their warm smiles and open arms. We are lucky to have them as family and will continue to join them in remembering Logan through this annual family fun event of wheeling, camping and great friends.

This year will include optional activities:
  • Saturday Night Bar Style Trivia Game
  • Friday Night Campsite Potluck Dinner - prize for the best food

The Details/FAQ:

Family Friendly:

Like all other Olde North State Cruisers events your whole family is invited. This includes your children and pets. Please be thoughtful, courteous and cautious and leave at home any member of the family that might not be well socialized or be otherwise unpredictable at a gathering of this type. Problematic people and pets deemed to pose a safety hazard or whom show aggression will be asked to leave.

Parking/Camping:
  • Camping is first come, first serve.
  • If you did not register, you cannot attend
  • Do not drive over the center grass at group camp near the bathhouse
  • Tow rigs, car hauler trailers and large campers/RVs are to park in the open grass area at Site B ONLY
  • Smaller campers/teardrops/etc can be parked wherever you find a spot that fits
  • Please do not be greedy with the space you take to set up your campsite. We're going to have a lot of people as always
This thread will be updated as new info becomes available. Please share this event with members that might want to attend!

Still working out whether I'll be there as I've used up most/all of my wheeling days allotment with the baby at home going to other events so far this year but I may come by for a day with the family. Should know more soon.

Is there anyone from the Raleigh-Durham area going that can tow the ONSC club trailer back to Raleigh on Sunday after the event? My truck isn't currently set up for towing.

Nathan is planning to be at LR,. He can get it back to Raleigh. Is it going to your place?

Perfect. Yep, it's going back to my place. Thanks Dave

Registered. Thanks to everyone for jumping in on the event planning duties !~! My apologies to all for being a bit absent lately, the old job was hell. Hoping to fix that and be a bit more present. See you there!

A little raffle teaser to get you all excited:

NOCO - Who knows? Could be anything 12v!
Camping gear - What are the most important things???
Jackery - Gotta have juice.
Viair - Gotta have air.
Need to keep things cold? Hate ice? Hmmm, is there a solution to that?
Wait...there's new tech in recovery gear???
We've even got something for you coffee drinkers, too.

Please REGISTER so we can turn in a fairly accurate head count to the caterer for Saturday's dinner.

Don't forget the POTLUCK dinner on Friday.

Also, please remember that we're sharing Group Camp with another group who has Site A reserved (it's the one on the right as you drive in, where the giant fire pit is and you have to carry all your stuff past the barricades. You know, where we did the raffle and trivia last year). Please be respectful of them. No late night music or shenanigans. Also, be prepared just in case they're not respectful to us - the camp host, forest rangers, local cops and sheriff's deputies will definitely increase their patrols if anybody in camp starts to act the fool.

You might have noticed that we have no organized trail rides on the schedule. This is intentional. We hope to foster and encourage a friendly environment where folks talk to each other and make plans amongst themselves. Logan wasn't here to see the massive growth in the club that causes us to have to schedule things at other events and this plan goes old school retro like it would be if he just went to hang out for a weekend in the woods to 'wheel with friends and interesting strangers. If you don't already know them, say hello to your camp neighbor - they might not want to do the same trails as you but they probably know somebody who does.

Registered. There are a couple of new members that registered too
