Set of 5 x 16" stock Lexus wheels with newish Michelin tires(~70-80% tread). Chrome is peeling on all the 5 wheels. Wheel caps included. All wheels are true with none/minimal curb rash. $350 OBO (just the cost of tires), pickup in Herndon. PFA. Wanted to paint them to refinish, but lost interest in that project. I need the space in the garage asap to work on other projects. If you can pickup before this weekend, I'd really appreciate it!! Cross posted.

Note: repost from '40 forum with an update: In my efforts to bring my '40 back to life after sitting far too long, I couldn't get it to idle, as I found out on my road test last fall, when I had to use the "cruise control" (a bicycle gear shift lever with cable attached to throttle) at stops to keep the engine running, so I recently pulled the idle solenoid (that I have tested as working well) and the idle mix screw out and sprayed the heck out of those ports with Berryman carb spray. Followed by blasting compressed air into same holes. Repeating several times. Whatever crap from the old bad gas that must have been plugging up the idle circuit must have been blown out, as it began to idle. Didn't really want to rebuild the carb just yet.

Then used Ryan's (OTRAMM) video to perform the drop down idle set. Excellent video Ryan!

Did a test road trip on the engine this weekend, and it idled fine, so hopefully, that problem has been resolved. Still working on my bad shoulder, but may make it out this year...

Got some rust coming out on the hood, doors, and other sun side spots. I was given a Binks Model 7, and am looking into how to use it to hopefully put the rust to rest. Since no garage, all painting, when I'm ready, will be done outdoors. Have to also bone up on the necessary pre paint prep work. Any suggestions are welcome.
