Stock, the 5.7 has 380 hp. I don't see the point to spending $595 to get another 30 hp (less than 10% increase). YMMV.
I'd prefer 410 to 380hp

If the Atkinson technology used in the Lexus RC F were brought over to the Tundra’s 5.7L and nothing else was changed, we’d see no loss of peak torque or horsepower, yet about a 10% improvement in fuel economy. If the transmission was updated to 7 or 8 speeds, we’d see another 5-10% increase in gas mileage. Add these two improvements up and the next-generation Tundra 5.7L might be able to hit 22mpg on the highway, while the 4.6L might hit 23 or 24mpg.
Throw in some other fuel economy enhancements (electric power steering, variable valve lift, an ‘eco’ driving mode that reduces power to save gas), and it’s conceivable that the next Tundra powertrain could hit 25mpg+ highway, and 17-18mpg in the city.
If these numbers don’t impress you, consider:
- The engines won’t have to sacrifice any power or displacement to achieve these improvements
- The fuel economy gains won’t rely upon any complicated or expensive “tricks” like turbocharging, replacing steel with aluminum, or direct injection

I doubt I would notice the difference. If it was an option coming from Toyota with Toyota's warranty, then I might consider it. Coming from a third party? No thanks.
Warranty? mine was up long ago...third party vendors are who make all the cool stuff for our rigs.

There was a video on yt where a tuner was talking about the basics of tuning and that there's no way you can feel a difference in tuning a naturally aspirated engine without hardware modifications.

Mine is still under warranty, and I bought the Toyota platinum extended warranty.

I am surprised to hear that people are complaining about the brakes!! I feel that mine are almost too good.
Also, since we are just BS'ing... the stupid audio and touch screen is a fail. That's my opinion. There are sooooo many good touch screen devices out there that have flooded our lives and to get into a $80,000+ vehicle and step backwards in technology is disappointing. I think the rest of the truck is amazing... the handling of the vehicle, the power, the smoothness and looks are great, but i get frustrated every time that stupid screen boots up and warns me, then it never connects with my phone (direct USB cable) so i have to flip through the audio each and every time. It does stay on with the radio or satellite "most of the time". So my only complaint would be the touch screen. Hell, even my first week driving the vehicle the f'ing maps were out of date on the GPS!!! WTF!

so you know that the touch screen system is completely revamped and much improved?
We test drove a 2016 LX. Even though its the old 200 platform, the Enform/Nav on it, is the latest tech, as just as good as our other 2015 Lexus.
mine only has 3200 miles on it, so the hit would be really hard to stomach.
I'd like to get a good baseline regarding my differentials/transfer case and engine oil. I purchased my 200 with 65,000mi. The carfax shows that the PO did take it in for scheduled service intervals at the Toyota dealer but the carfax does not provide info stating what kind of oil and if or when the diffs and transfer case fluids were changed. Curious as to what kind of oil they go with. I've always used Mobil 1 and will be putting it in this rig. Same goes with the transmission and cabin air filter. What would you guys do?
I second using toyota fluid, for peace of mind the dealer is meant to keep all service records and sould share them with you. If it's an out of state dealer that you can't simply drive up to I'm sure proof of ownership should be enough for them to email you the conplete service history.
