So i inherited a box of old tools and I'm curious what they are/were used for. If anyone is familiar with any of these please chime in.

1,2 Square to hex torque drive adaptor.
3. Various pliers for working with wire and sheet metal.
4. Spoon for finishing mortar joints on block and brick work.
6. Pliers for pulling trim retaining clips.
7. Guess: hose end expander?

I think #6 is a spark plug boot puller.

#8 reminds me of the special cutters for bicycle cables.

I have a drawer full of pliers similar to the round nose jobs that are used for snap rings.

You need to put a ruler/tape measure next to that round threaded wedge deal for scale.

#8 is a wire cutter. When I was a boy, I delivered the Washington Post newspaper. We received the papers in wire bound bundles. All us carriers had one of those tools to snip the wires.

Agree with @Pin_Head on #4. I've used them before for tooling joints.

Why 2 cutting spots?

Note sure. Were I to guess, I'd say it makes the tool last longer.

The ones I had as a kid were "Sargent" brand. What brand are those?

That conical wood screw thingy is interesting. I keep thinking, does it have something to do with rope and string crafts.

Is 9a and 9b a plier designed for extracting nails?
