So i inherited a box of old tools and I'm curious what they are/were used for. If anyone is familiar with any of these please chime in.

1,2 Square to hex torque drive adaptor.
3. Various pliers for working with wire and sheet metal.
4. Spoon for finishing mortar joints on block and brick work.
6. Pliers for pulling trim retaining clips.
7. Guess: hose end expander?

Thanks...

I'm not envisioning how these would work.

any examples of the pliers in use?
Trim retaining clips... What kind of clips?

WAY too long and boring but it explains the round nose pliers....

Thanks @J Mack... I knew it was a counter-sink tool and it looked like it was adjustable but I wasn't confident in my assessment.

This is great... thanks all.

Now, how about these?

The wooden threaded thing is about 3" long.

#8 is a wire cutter. When I was a boy, I delivered the Washington Post newspaper. We received the papers in wire bound bundles. All us carriers had one of those tools to snip the wires.

Agree with @Pin_Head on #4. I've used them before for tooling joints.

Why 2 cutting spots?

Why 2 cutting spots?

Note sure. Were I to guess, I'd say it makes the tool last longer.

The ones I had as a kid were "Sargent" brand. What brand are those?

That conical wood screw thingy is interesting. I keep thinking, does it have something to do with rope and string crafts.

Is 9a and 9b a plier designed for extracting nails?
