I've been running ODB Fusion for iOS on a mini iPad connecting to a LE Link. So far I love it, but was wondering if anyone as got the transmission temp gauge working? I've checked out the Scangauge tranny temp thread and I couldn't get those PIDs working.

I didn't realize something was out for iOS. This will make life much easier. Are you saying that it's worth the $9.99?

Yes its worth it, with transmission temp it will be great. There are two ways to do it with iOS: wifi adapter (there are a lot) or the LE Link Bluetooth one. My iPad is LTE so I wanted to be able to use LTE while using ODB Fusion so I went that route. The other popular iOS app is DashCommander.

The torque pro app I'm using has trans temp under its "method two", any ideas on how to retrieve the pid?

Not sure, I haven't used torque. Is there a way to edit that gauge to see the PID? I'm honestly surprised this isn't on here for the 100. There are threads for the 80 and 200 series, but not 100.

^ 100 must be "old school" now. Skipped a generation.

I can't figure out how to edit it or see what pid is driving it. I have seen 21d9 mentioned alot for other toyos in our year's, have you tried anything yet?

I haven't tried anything yet. I'll see if 21d9 work but I need the equation too. From want I've read these are the Scangauge xgauge codes:

TXD: 686AF101B4
RXF: 044105B40000
RXD: 2808
MTH: 00090005FFD8

Then there is a way to convert: Guide: Converting ScanGauge Codes to Torque Pro PIDs - TundraTalk.net - Toyota Tundra Discussion Forum

I was just hoping someone already had this working. I would like to do transmission temp and then oil pressure. Maybe I can use a ODB scanner app to pull that info? In ODB Fusion a "scan" of available PIDs did nothing but the very basic ones.

@camino70 so in torque pro they have a built in profile for transmission temp?

Torque app has method one that just sits at zero, method two actually appears correct.

I think...
Equation: ((((E*256)+F)*(7/100)-400)/10)

I'll try it this afternoon.

None of these worked:
21d9
0105
2182

Gave 0 result:
01b4

Do you any in mind you'd like me to try?

Try this...

Name: Transmission Temp (pan)
Short name: Trans temp (pan)
PID: 2182
Equation: ((((A*256)+B)*(7/100)-400)/10)
Min Value: -40
Max Value: 325 F
Header: Leave emtpy

Name: Transmission Temp (Converter)
Short name: Converter Temp
PID: 2182
Equation: ((((C*256)+D)*(7/100)-400)/10)
Min Value -40
Max Value: 325 F
Header: Leave empty

Thanks for helping me figure this out!

I'm getting no data on 2182 regardless of the equation. I'm pretty new to this app, so...

Thanks for trying! I'm gonna try it with ODB Fusion tonight and see if anything will work.

PID: 01B4 like you was the only one I was getting anything back from and I was getting this:

I converted the scangauge codes people said work here to the equation and nothing. I also tried every other equation I could confirm on other forums. Nothing.

Have you found anything new you'd like me to try? Have you broken down and bought a new dongle/torque app yet?

Nothing yet. I think I'm going to contact OBD Fusion and try that. Next up is getting a cheap Android tablet for the LC so I can run Torque. But then Lead Nav isn't out yet for Android. You can't win.

Any luck finding an Apple iOS app that is able to report Automatic Transmission temperature from OBD-II on-board diagnostics on a 100-series?

Nope. I gave up. I need to contact OBD Fusion.

Does the OBD Fusion app (with the Carista or similar OBD2 bluetooth adapter) read and reset ABS codes on a 2002 100-series?
