Yeah, I was thinking GS might not be a good first day run.

well, common sense is taking over. i should really stay home and let this elbow get better. it's been improving drastically. and then today it has been giving me some problems. i think i supinated the wrist once a bit to far.

you guys have fun.

Smart choice. I was afraid you'd try wheeln 1 handed, only to have something cause you to forget & reach out w/yr broken wing, only to further damage it.

Which did we do last year when we squeezed in fins after the morning run? Was that poision spider or the porcupine rim. We can run something close and when Jarred gets up there hit fins, that is a short run for the afternoon.

Well, since it looks like the weather might be nice ... and since the current forecast is for nice weather the entire week (!) ... I might just drive up with the half doors and suck up the cold mornings with a jacket. I've been gluing the weatherstrip onto the full doors, but the stuff I bought at NAPA isn't holding (Permatex). Should have searched for the 3M stuff.

Geez! Jon, how about we just tow Da' 40 and you can ride in the luxury of an 80, since you hate them so much :flipoff2: ! You can even play with the auto-climate controls.

I'm definitely glad I didn't put the hard top on the 40. Weather is going to be superb!

It looks like my brother-in-law, his wife, and two nephews from Phoenix/Chandler will be in the Moab area, so there's a good chance that some of them may ride along with us for at least one day.

Getting close... :steer:

I will have extra room if needed for a ride for anyone. Only me and the fine Maob air! Time to make the list for packing.

You guys are making me sick to my stomach. In fact, if you keep it up and I get *really* sick then maybe I'll be too sick to take the flight and I'll have to stay home or take a long ride to recuperate. ;)

Have fun boys! Take pics and post them quick.

A medicine man from the Jemez reservation told me that from here, one has to go halfway to Holbrook to maximize Gaia's healing powers (obviously he used an Indian word for Gaia). But, he said, it's not Holbrook AZ, but Holbrook ID. So, go there for the weekend and you are guaranteed to be cured.

Mike, I'll fly a flag for you! It won't be the same without you for only my second time out there. Who is going to wait until the next day to tell me what white marks on the slick rock mean, or the cool thing about that 2nd start button I always wondered about. Pics coming as fast as I can post them. T-minus 3 days!

P.S. you need anyone to call in a b-threat so the plane can't leave? Don't ask me, cuz there is no way I wanna take that risk.

BTW Lovey -

Swing by if you get a chance - Onur says you have a nice FJC - feel free to run with us over the weekend if you want!

We will miss you Mike. We know that you would be joining us if you could! Next time!

Don't mean to preach to the choir, but why do my friends think I am crazy? I wait almost eight years to take more that two days off in a year and head out taking the Cruiser with a risk of rolling over, few passes next to a cliff or canyon, etc...Stay in a Kabin that the wind blows though and I need to hike to the bathroom, this is a vacation? But I just read Jon's statement, and yeah it's my vacation!
:cheers: See you all out there!

True, but it's Moab.

Moab ... it is what it is.

"It is what it is..." seems to be a catching phrase....See Onur, everyone here loves you!

I enjoyed Onur's post. But there is a reason I'm a scientist. My left dominant brain didn't understand a thing he said.

Heraclitus was what gave the ruse away.

Interesting. Heraclitus was a BC philosopher from what is now present day Turkey. Coincidence, Onur?

Man I wish I could go!

Hey Guys,

Long time no speak too. Sorry to hear about your elbow Shawn, wishing you a speedy recovery. Reading these posts sure makes me want to visit Moab with you all. I can't wait to see the pics, especially of Jarred's sweet 70 series! Have fun guys, I am hoping to make the next meeting.

Sounds like luxury for my typical vacation.

Don't worry, no one will hold it against you that you can't use the creative side of your brain. That takes years of training! We are all built different....it is what it is....
