CARNAGE

Yes, but not without CARNAGE. Here is a secret picture taken of the damage Jon did to his rig. I think it is repairable.

A few more pics. Rudy was there the first day but went home . Hope it wasn't the swine flu...

Also, one of Evan on one of his superb climbs.

Then, a (the token?) Jeep picture of Rick jumping out in front and being the first up Tip Over Challenge. He busted a spline later (the third bounce?) but we really can't call it Weak Jeep because nobody else tried it after that...

Yeah, I wussed out. No piggy flu for me just yet. i am really kicking myself for not doing the Kane Creek Run, but it was something I had to do. Even though Moab is fun, I guess this was not the best time for me. Next year, maybe i sould plan better. i decided to cut the drive short and camp and navajo lake and drive back this morning. i still have a good deal to supply heat to my house, but now need to see about the electrical work tomorrow. Not too many great pics for one day, but this is what i got...

Steve & Rudy -

Thanks for the pictures guys!

And Happy Birthday Rudy!

If the pictures don't show it, we had a great time. The weather was just about perfect. Minimal wind, the mornings were cool, but the afternoons were shorts weather. Moab is always a blast.

We ran Hell's Revenge on Friday morning, then came back to camp to meet up with Jarred and Crystal, but they were running a little late. So we were back out to Fins & Things for Friday afternoon. Saturday we ran Kane Creek Canyon. At first, things were looking pretty dry, but the stream came back before we got all the way through. The fall colors on the cottonwoods coming out of the canyon were spectacular.

And then on Sunday we ran Metal Masher. See Steve's pictures above as he winched and drove up Widow Maker - pretty impressive!

I hope to have some pictures of my own to post up soon. As I was tail gunning most of the time, I didn't have much of a chance to take any pictures. But my brother-in-law and his family joined us on the Friday and Saturday runs. My nephew Craig took some great shots and promised to send me a disc. I'll get some posted up when I see that from him.

Overall, a great trip!

Thanks for the BDay wishes guys. Jerrad, did you crop out my 80 in that group photo? Next year, I will plan to leave early and take my non-driving days before the runs so I am not already cussing and cursing at drivers when I get back into town.

Rudy - I think that pic was taken on Metal Masher and you had already left town. We missed you!

Yeah, I know i was gone, kinda being a wise guy (or smart ass as a better definition).
