It's high time for a Charlotte area meeting again!

I'm thinking Tuesday, October 29th at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday October 30th, 6:30 pm (they're closed mon/tues I just realized) at the Tipsy Burro.

If there's a consensus on changing it though I'm certainly open to it.

Who can make it?

I should be able to make it.

Should be doable for me also - what time? Guessing 6:30?

Did you ever get your idle problem resolved? Or are you driving the 40 to the burro?

I will try, but am volunteering in an exercise with Union county emergency operations

I did get it sorted - at least I think I did. It turned out to be a spark plug (with only 3k miles). It finally threw a misfire code. I moved the plug that looked different than the other from cylinder 6 to cylinder 1. Cylinder 1 is the one that threw the code. Replaced plug and it ran like a sewing machine again. Time will tell...

You might want to check the harness at 6; if it didn't cause an error code, it may be time to rewrap it.

Sadly, it’s already wrapped… went through hell when I first got the truck. Harness was burned which I fixed. What mad it hell was the fact that it fried the ECU but that was the last thing on my list to check. Almost sold the truck before I got it fixed.

I have a humble request to make, if anyone coming has an LX570 and would be willing to let me test drive it around the block I'd be grateful as I'm soon going to be in the market for one and would love to test drive a decent example not with a salesman breathing down my neck or after flying across the country to buy it. I'd be happy to buy you a cold one of your choice in return.

It's in Dallas; number 1 daughter's graduation present. I got a 40.

Just buy one, you won't regret it. There are only three Land Cruisers worth having: a 40, an 80 and a 200. Everything else is second best.

Respectfully disagree. Any Land Cruiser is worth having (except maybe the 250 Prado, and the jury's still out on that). I personally love the 100 series, and it has the best engine Toyota ever built, the 2UZ. The 55 is just a bigger 40, and the 60 is essentially just a bigger version of the best of the 40 series trucks, the 80-83 FJ40. If I could only have one LC, it would be a 100 series. Before you pull the trigger on a 200, do a little research on 3UR cam tower leaks. Know where to look for this leak and make damn sure the truck you buy is not afflicted...yet.
