I've recieved a half kit Cadmium plated order from Davework:

http://www.sailpowdercat.com/LCBolts.htm

The kit was nicely packaged, ready when I need it. The plating was uniform, nice and smooth. This should keep me out of the hardware store for a while.

The 2nd photo is a comparison: Specter Cad plate, Davework Cad plate, OEM Zinc, Stainless

Thanks Dave

wow amazing accumulation of facts and resources! hat off to coolerman and his spreadsheet! awesome awesome !

Got my bolts here are the specs for 79+ body mount bolts.

( 2 ) M10 x 1.50 x 80 mm, thread length is 50 mm. 1 wave lock washer and 1 flat washer on each.

( 4 ) M10 x 1.50 x 55 mm, thread length is 25 mm. also has wave lock and flat washer.

They do taper at the bottom to help insert into the body bushing.

These came from the dealer so I hope they are correct.

Sorry if this has been previously posted, I missed it if it was.

Just updated the Website with all the latest info on the Nuts and Bolts Sets.

I've currently sourced all the flanged head hardware with OEM Style Indented Heads, EXCEPT the M10x30 bolts.

Custom Orders are all Welcome!

I've got Regular Hex Kits Ready to ship, and will have Flanged Head Kits Ready to ship on 12/16.

Order at:

Does this mean our back-ordered parts will be coming soon?

That is great news! These nuts and bolts I have gotten from you have been fantastic, and several times have saved me from having to drive many miles for a replacement because the old one didn't want to loosen up or come off...

I'm not really sure by looking at coolermans spread sheet what bolts I need. Hopefully someone can help me out.

SOR has the part I'm trying to bolt back up listed as the "bottom flywheel cover" It sits directly behind the oil pan on a 78'40 and does cover the flywheel. I believe there are 5 (maybe 6) bolts that hold it up but mine only had 3 in it. Does anyone know the dimensions of the bolts that are supposed to hold this piece in place? and thanks for all your hard work coolerman!!!

IIRC M6 x 8

M6 should be a 1.0 pitch. Fine thread for a M6 is not common and that would be .75 pitch

Ok I'm getting a little frustrated with my local Yota parts guy. Real nice guy just seems to not be up to the CDan level.

I just wanted to order new bolts for my bottom flywheel cover and 22 new ones for my oil pan.

He only ordered me 16 instead of 22 for the oil pan and they are shorter and don't have the phillips head that the OE ones have. He said the OE bolt was discontinued and what he got is the replacement. Can anyone verify that? The part number is 91611-B0816 that I did get. If he's got it right then shame on me.

The ones he ordered for the bottom fly wheel cover that I posted up the question before for aren't even close I don't have calipers yet or other bolt measuring devices but. They are noticable smaller. The part number for those is 91611-B0614.

I can't the post in this thread where it said how to decipher the part #'s relating to bolts.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Why dont you just get the bolts from a fastener store? Like Fastenal. Bet it is a lot cheaper.

that's the long term plan but I'm just doing some really small projects now and don't want to dick with finding a good fastener store just yet.

Don't worry until I win the lottery I won't be buying every bolt from Toyota.!!!

Any help with deciphering the part numbers would be helpful.

Hey, DaveWork

How about 6x1.00 phillips head screws for the early tailgate hinges?

Coolerman,

I'm not sure if your still scanning this thread but I am going through and tearing my 40 down but would like to go ahead and purchase new hardware for when I put it all back together. If you still have your spreadsheet, my email is fordmandan150@yahoo.com and I would truly appreciate it! Thank you!
