Here's a photo through a filter, which seems to capture the true color.

what do you think you spent on total painting materials, fillers/primers/color/clear/etc?

Probably in $1400 or so.

Will be in $2000 by the time it's all said and done.

I think I am most impressed by the quality of the finish given your booth. Proof that you can get an amazing result even without a dedicated booth.

I can't (like almost giddy at this point) wait to see the tub sitting on that beautiful chassis. Keep up the solid work.

The weather has been perfect for painting. The temps are just right, and the recent rains have kept dust particles to a minimum. Because it's still winter, I'm not having to worry too much about flying insects either.

I need to replace the oil in the diffs, xfer case, and tranny.

What oil should be used for each, and does anyone know the approximate amount needed for each?

iirc....

like 2-2.5 quarts in the diffs, I drained, poured a little extra to rinse, and then fill until it starts creeping out of the fill hole...

for the tranny, 3.5 in my h55 and like 2.25 in case.....

again, it was a fill-til-spill on the case.....

What kinds of oil for each?

That'll at least make it easy.

If you want to go full-bore, put Redline gear oil in the diffs and t-case and their MTL in the tranny. Best synthetics available, but many $$$. Otherwise, use Mobil 1 for quality and availability.

I swear you WILL notice a difference in shifting quality with MTL in the tranny.

I've heard of it before, but boy yeah, it's expensive.
