Doesn't the chiltons and other repair manual have the specs you need?

No, it doesn't. It's pretty weak.

So I'm kinda obsessed with my new blaster.

I'm also in the process of restoring the flywheel. I'll post pics soon.

And I'd like to add that I'll be offering my services to the rest of CLC. Please contact me if you have something you'd like blasted.

You'll have to buy a better compressor first.

I'm not sure what you're intending to do to "restore" your flywheel, but if that restoration doesn't include getting the clutch face resurfaced, be sure to do that before installing a new clutch disc / pressure plate. You don't want to have to do it again because the new clutch is chattering or slipping......

U joints look good @Bomar . Keep in mind I'm not blasting any of the mating surfaces, this is all external. I will be replacing the zerk fittings after paint (they are available in cadmium metric at our local harware store). All will be regressed with Royal Purple.

Back side of flywheel (and no, of course I did not blast the pressure plate surface)

As I said earlier in the thread, the hood has a lot of damage. There was a massive crease on the passengers side; so much, that the bib over hung the hood by about 1.5". I tried banging out the crease but it was too far gone. I then cut the crease out with an angle grinder and cut a patch of 16ga steel for the hole.View attachment 1256398

Everything lines up much better now

Man, I wish I was on here sooner. I could have shown you how to fix that without cutting it.

You and me both!

Really though, I think it was beyond fixing; there were several creases, and what's more, the creases had developed cancer.

Bellhousing was blasted, cleaned with denatured alcohol, 3 coats of semi gloss black VHT paint, and filled up with 3 coats of VHT clear coat.

Driveshafts are finished, after getting the same treatment as the bellhousing.

New zerk fittings and Royal Purple Grease too.

And @dnp , I spoke to Aamco here on Briarwood; they advised me to NOT resurface the flywheel, as there was no burnishing, or grooves present. They also said I could wet sand it (he said that's what they do when they have a flywheel that's already in good condition). He also explained that Flywheels on hydraulic clutches are very less forgiving to resurfacing; and they are often problematic.

FWIW, I replaced my clutch disc twice (for "while I was in there reasons", not due to a problem with he disc or flywheel) and I did not resurface the flywheel either time. I don't turn my discs when I replace brake pads either.

I like to live on the edge. Safety third.

Got bored. Painted the flywheel alignment/inspection indicators.

(Hey @beno , do you know what is supposed to go in that small hole adjacent to the white dial above? Some sort of cover?
