A tip I heard on getting those off, is once you get them good and tight, smack the exposed part of the arm right there with a ball peen hammer. The shock usually breaks it free.

I tried that too; didn't seem to help very much.

Used the c-clamp to keep the puller from being destroyed, and a 3' cheater bar to tighten the clamp.

Axles and leafs are out. All that's left to do now is pull drivetrain; hopefully in the next few days.

That's a pretty good idea, Chef.

Is that a baby monitor on top of valve cover?

Damn right @Clutchee ; multitasking up in this biatch.

@under_psi , i looked into you idea, but the more I study it, there's no real good way to keep the engine from teetering once it is off the frame. I guess I'll still need to borrow your hoist.

that's fine....another way i thought was lowering it all down to the ground....set the engine on a tire or some blocks.....

either way, ill be available after 3 tomoro.....hit me up.

I have a extra hoist you can borrow.

Went over to @under_psi 's house today to borrow @wngrog 's hoist. Within 20 minutes of getting it home, I had it attached and ready to go.

Engine is out! Frame is ready for media blasting and powder coating. Woohoo!

Have you removed the steering gear pedestal? Be sure to do that before blasting and PC.

Nice progress!
